'17 VA DE Elijah Conliffe (Florida commit)

The thing with this is some kids want that moment, and want to wait and make a final decision on or the night before signing day. I was told if he wants in, he's in. What some coaches have to realize is you can't force a kids hand[/QUOTE]

Silly comment. Asking a recruit to make a decision isn't forcing his hand. That's not the same thing as an ultimatum. If that were the case "he wouldn't be in even if he wanted in." And what some players have to realize is that there comes a time when they aren't worth waiting for.

Just because it's DT related, but Shy is most definitely off of his crutches and looks like he isn't even in a boot (based off of his twitter pics). His first injury his freshman season much have been a lot worse (even though everyone was saying this one was the most damaging of the two). Last year he didnt get his boot off until April. I feel pretty good about the rotation of Vickers, Kmac, Tuttle and Johnson. Would definitely love to pair Concliffe with the addition of Crosby, Butler and Bennett though. Would be great for our DT future the next few years.

Math. You wouldn't understand.
Does it involve tensor analysis? I liked Partial differential equations, but contracting on the subscripts was a bore.
Can you not recognize an honest question, or are you just incapable of answering it? I concede that you are kicking our behinds in recruiting, but you seem to always sign more. I don't see that you lose more players than do we or other schools. I am genuinely puzzled.

Dont think any of us know....we let the coaches deal with that

Thanks. The Gator boards I know are different. More recruiting information is available on this board, but Gators tend to figure just how many'ships are available: the overall number, the yearly number, how many EE's count back-the whole nine yards.

What recruits need to learn is that its not about them. It's about Team 1st. The staff has to make decisions and can't be held hostage by some 18 year old, who wants attention. You want attention? Come break Barnett's sack record.

I wouldn't pretend to know how our staff determines how many they can sign. I do know that the number to the 85 max for this year was 23, including our midterm enrollees (this is by my count of the number of scholarship players on the current roster). It appears our final #is going to be 28 or 29. If that is accurate, we will have to lose 5 or 6 players off the roster prior to the start of classes for the fall semester in August. But, that also means that at least 3 or 4 players on our list will not sign a NLI. They will instead sign a form that promises them academic monetary support. It is not binding, but it is done much more frequently these days, because these players can actually enroll in August and not count against the 25 number, as log as they meet certain criteria.

I think that's an accurate statement but the PWO(Preferred Walk-Ons) help us out an awful lot too.

How quickly we forget how well that PWO played against the Gators.

I wasn't always thrilled with the MLB play but support him b/c he chose to be a Vol when he could've received aid elsewhere, albeit a smaller school probably. I just didn't recall your stance on him. This year's punting was solid which made me think you held a positive opinion on the position play, but the sarcasm flows on VN nowadays so I was just checking.

Carry on.

And Vandy...

He didn't play much in that game because Shoop was an idiot rotating LBs like they were hockey lines. The facts are Jumper was the most valuable LB once JRM and Kirkland got hurt. Just because the defense was bad doesn't mean it couldn't have been worse. Not bad for a PWO.
