The key word was resume. If Butch lands smith, curb stomps Nebraska and lands a top 10 class he will be on his way to resuming it.
still would need to see more on the field next fall but I'd say with those things he would be on pace.

Butch failed to meet expectations this fall, no question. But I often wonder why Shoop doesn't take more heat than he does? Butch and DeBord get raked over the coals daily but the fact is that Shoop's defense is a HUGE reason we went 8-4 and could easily have a few more L's.

Butch and Shoop better get it fixed this offseason or we'll need to average 50 points on offense next fall to win the East.

I think it's because we know that Shoop is better than that. You don't field top 25 defenses for 6 straight years and then do this without a reason.

True. Well, he better get those DL and LB units playing A LOT better this offseason. Move Byrd to corner as well. Looking forward to a couple new coaching faces on that side of the ball.

Can anyone confirm if either Saban or Meyer got an in-home visit yesterday/last night? I saw it posted by someone that Trey was only to meet with these coaches at USJ. If either ended up getting in-home time yesterday or last evening the suspense increases today.

We need this young man!

downplaying what? Literally nothing has happened since Butch's soft undisciplined poorly coached team got Butch slapped by Vanderbilt. If we land Smith today that is great. It will do very little to aid Butch Jones coaching ability which is the real issue.
