Heard about the grade issues/ACT score a while ago from people with ties to OR football.

However, I'm not sure I buy the rumors of him disrespecting the UT coaching staff like that...

I'm sure they find some way to get him in but it probably won't be with much help from people in the area since he didn't go to TN. Probably won't have people being so forgiving about overlooking things

1. A poster taking issue with UT pulling in state prospects isn't being a negavol. It's fact. They missed out on the top 3 prospects at a point when all 3 were presumed to be qualifiers.

2. Grown-ass men laughing at a kid for not qualifying for college is comptely pathetic. Don't portray it as "laughing at Clemson". Somebody looking at these post from the outside would see it as mocking those kids. Again ... pathetic.

You're pathetic for being such a jerk...see how easy that is. I am laughing at Clemson. And if we were counting on these guys right now..we would be screwed. I don't give a rip what you think about me. We never even went after CR, so I don't have anything against him, but Clemson has tried to vulture us and it looks like its gonna backfire...so hahahahaha. I wish fir his sake he had his crap together. It's not my fault he doesn't.

Not so much making fun as it is marveling at the score. Quite an accomplishment to get a 13. I took it in 7th grade and hadn't even taken Algebra 1 yet and got a 19. Pretty much Christmas treed the math and science sections.

13 is probably above average for a Clemson applicant. Besides, Clemson is not like UTK. Clemson wants to win and will do what they have to in order to get good players in there. Still think Vols can get TH if the will is there.

Some posters here are pathetic. All about the recruit until he commits to another school the the recruit miraculously becomes "average" and "dumb."

Hell, I bet if Peyton announced he was gonna be OC at Florida, all we would hear is "not a VFL. He wasn't that good here anyway, didn't even win the NC with him. He sexually assaulted a girl with his butt, he's a thug."

Those "character concerns" seem to only surface often after a kid chooses someone other than us. Something I've noticed anyway.

We signed the #1 prospect in the state (Trey Smith). What is this false narrative about missing out on the top 3 prospects?

The top 5 prospects in the state were in some order: Trey Smith, Tee Higgins, Jacoby Stevens, Ty Chandler, and Maleik Gray.

We got commitments from 3 of the top 5 guys. So I don't know where you are getting this lie that we missed out on the top 3 in-state.

He is in Oak Ridge. They have the resources to help him do what needs to be done to be eligible. It will take some work on his part, but he is high profile for the city and the school's academics and athletics. I'm betting he makes it in to Clempson this fall.

Oak Ridge is a good school, he will get all the help he needs. There has been kids with way worse situations that have got into school. He was not going to play basketball this year so he could focus on his grades, but he had improved enough that he decided he can play basketball and still be able to get his grades in order.
