'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Yall have no idea how much he loves UT.

I've personally known his position coach and Maliek Gray's coach for years.

Tee is no doubt conflicted. But that dude loooves UT.

Awfully strange way of showing it. Not many people who loooove someone try and publicly humiliate, stay away from and try to get others to stay away from those they love.

This is recruiting so you never really say never I guess. Perhaps Tee should talk to JRM, Jack Jones, Ryan Johnson and Cade Mays.....as far as loving Tennessee goes, they seem to be doing it right.

This is not some planned thing orchestrated by Butch. Tee is actively recruiting for Clemson. There is no way Butch would see that as a sensible trade off to have a NSD flip. Now Tee might flip to us down the road, but he's not a Vol today and recruiting for the tigers. Butch isn't signing off on that nonsense.

You must have missed all of the top two, three, five lists of recruits listing the Vols that went elsewhere. Richmond was all Reb until the last minute. If you think coaches don't play this game with a solid commit you're high. Snatching a highly rated recruit is the ultimate in PR.

You actually think Butch told Tee to commit to Clemson and spend the next 6-8 months recruiting UT targets to Clemson as the pub he gets for him flipping on NSD is worth it?

And I'm the "high" one. LOL

I'm just waiting for the first "👀👀" Tweet during one of our games with all his friends there

Tee is a Tiger and is a very active one on the recruiting trail. Nothing to see here. He also has been actively recruiting some of our commits as well.

This. ^^^

Feel free to hold out hope if it helps you sleep at night, but he sure doesn't seem torn about his decision publicly and in social media. Fant, Gray, and K. Scurry can probably tell you how Tee feels about Clemson.

"Got no respect for someone that grows up in the Knoxville area as a UT fan and then let's some dbag "Friend" pull him over to a team that is coached by a guy named Dabo - I could maybe excuse it during the Dooley years and honestly wouldn't even be in Tee's top 50 schools if that were the case but with things trending up for the Football program, it is a damn shame"

This was retweeted by Tee on July 21st with the comment "I just love this" from Tee. This has to be happening everyday for this kid and things like this make me find it hard to believe he remains a Tiger on NSD. The reasoning in the quote is off but the point is understood. Also Clemson has put 9 WR's into the NFL since 1990, UT has put 18. Seems if Tee wants the best route to the league, he needs to reevaluate things.

If true, he should receive an Oscar for his anti-UT performance.

And the sooner he stops recruiting against UT the better.

I'm sorry for expecting you to see beyond face value. When you find out your wife is seeing 3 different guys don't whine about it here.

I said he was conflicted...

I already answered your stupid question.

Why do u have to call me a bull crapper?

Look... from what ive heard, Clemson is his logical choice. $$$. And so far I can't argue with that. The kid really wants to set up his family for life. Can u blame him? Azzani aint turnin out....nvermnd

But keep in mind, this guy is playing because he wanted to play football for UT. I'm saying his whole reason for beginning to play football was because of the Vols. Thats where his heart is.

This is far from over.

We're about to have a season like we haven't seen in a while. A better season than Butch has ever had.

- He has the creator of his offense as his OC

- And one of the best DCs in the country.

- Top 4 talent in the conference with the most experience. Senior QB

Nothing is over... at all.

I apologize for the misunderstanding...I AM NOT calling YOU a liar or bull crapper. I want to make that clear. I think people close to TH and TH himself are. I think they spread disinformation to people like you. Probably in an attempt to deflect, or deflate some the hometown criticism he is going to have to deal with. I hope that is more clear....I also never saw where you gave much if an answer to those questions...sorry I guess I have missed it. I hope you accept my apology, the fault was mine.

Sorry I gave you credit for thinking outside the box. Obviously if the quote was going to change his mind, he would be a UT commit right now. It was posted on July 21st and today is August 5th. smh.

then why are you mentioning it as something that would change his mind? smh infinity.

I would imagine that Clemson isn't looking too far in the past when talking about WRs they've put in the league vs those put there by UT. I assume they're likely pointing to the present.....their 3 best WRs in the NFL right now, Hopkins, Watkins and Bryant combined for 221 receptions, 3,333 yards and 26 touchdowns last year, in 2015 alone.

Conversely, we have 3 WRs in the NFL right now iirc.....Hunter, Patterson and Denarius Moore.....they combined for 24 catches, 274 yards and 1 TD last year.

How in the world do you leave the BEST WR in the league...CBJ coached Antonio Brown off of this list?!?! and no mention of who is throwing them the football...or throwing it in the general vicinity.
Put any one of these four receivers on the other end of Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady and you've got all pros. Even with Pattersons raw route running.

I do accept it. And your questions aren't stupid. They're valid.

Also you could be right. But im simply saying Clemson is his choice based of logic. Its a business decision. From what ive been told. But the dude will be watching UT games this fall.

Either way we will be fine without him, if he stays a Tiger. IF.

No one really knows until we know. Tee doesn't even know. We've all seen it before. Every year.

I don't think our coaches are doing that.

Thats a huge risk that is an easy backfire waiting to happen.

I doubt that is whats going on with T.
