'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

You people...(let's just get this out of the way)
giphy.gif

...are incredible. You have no idea what went on behind the scenes with Tee's recruitment. Over the last several seasons, Butch has proven himself to be a tremendous recruiter and a top notch closer. This recruitment isn't over IMO and some of us may have to eat some words if things change. However, even if it was it would not mean that Butch STB. If Butch can pull Phillips away from LSU at the last second, if he can pull Malone away from Georgia when everyone was sure he was a dawg, and if he can pull Richmond on NSD when everyone was already crying about Butch not being able to recruit Memphis then how would he STB and let the top WR in the nation get yanked out from under his nose. Is it possible.... Sure but Butch's track record would suggest otherwise. It is more probable that Tee currently likes the Clemson offense better and thinks it is a better fit for him. You people...

...need to just STAHP with the Butch is washed up as a recruiter nonsense and head back to the FF until NSD. Then you can feel free to come back over and eat your healthy serving of words and crow stew when Butch closes another outstanding class.

I didn't say hes washed up, he's just dirty from STB on this recruitment. This 5* is a stone throw from his office and he lost him.

What did he NOT do in the recruitment? Piggybacking on your feces theme, crap happens...shizz AND THEN get off the pot and keep recruiting. Thanks for the DISTANCE thing...us'ns that live in he RF had no earthly idea. :hi:

You're not above anything. You're bored and throwing what you need to throw out to get a reaction. If people TRULY ignore you, you'll leave again. Not at first...out of stubbornnous, but without reaction you're not fulfilling that need. This is notice from ME, your former TG partner in crime, that I won't even respond to a specific point you bring up...quote or no. I really don't think you're a bad guy, but I won't contribute to your little circus.

ATP I think it is an indictment of our entire class so far.

Also don't get the Player A vs Player B point, especially when they're two years apart.

It was more directed at the "sky is falling" folks who claim we can't get a top notch WR.

So the opening I have for a dancing bear, you're saying I'm going to have to look on Craigslist. Alright.

From looking at it, I'd think top caliber slot guys would be more likely to buy in than outside WRs with where we are today.

Worley could pass but we didn't have an Oline. Dobbs can run and be a great playmaker, but is at best an average passer (so far). I think our next QB (you can pick which sub you like), will be a much a much better overall passer. If we still suck throwing the ball down field after a year or two, under a new QB, then I will agree with you.

I'm not disagreeing with you in totality though.

Excellent post, I agree and will do the same..... All that needs to stop is the circus.

Tee Higgins has the speed size and the hands to be good, but I feel he has yet to prove his talent. He plays some of the worst schools in the WHOLE state of TN. We, Dobyns-Bennett, played him in Week 2 and he did good on the first possession with 5 or 6 catches on a 5'7 150 corner, but then we put our 6'1 190 corner who is very athletic and he got bodied, i mean Tee Higgins was getting pressed all the way to the sideline, seriously. He had one more catch the whole game on the kid and it was when we were in Cover 2, in which we play 6 yards off the ball, and he ran by him and the safety wasnt in the correct position and he caught a 50 yard touchdown pass. He played very well at corner that game though. So i dont think losing him to Clemson will be a big deal.

I was at that game. Tee Higgins made DB look like a bunch of middle school players out there. Don't make it look like he didn't either. I was in the crowd & watched Tee specifically almost the entire game.

I'm not a DB fan or graduate either. I graduated eons ago from Sullivan North but I still follow local high school football to this day over 25 years later.

Tee was clearly the best athlete & player on the field. Bad thing is you'll get to see him again this coming season on the road. :p I will be there for that one too.

I see you've entered the bargaining stage of your grief journey. You're trying to sell yourself that old "We didn't want him anyway" line. Keep plugging away at your grief and you'll get through it. We're here if you need us for anything. VN love for everybody! :3083yourock:
