'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

I have never liked a liar and don't plan too now. Pick Clemson or whomever you wish but don't punk people you say you respect and call friends. His choice in schools is fine. The way he handled it not so much. Richardson choose Clemson but did not make a fool of himself in doing so.

This. The way he handled it was classless and disrespectful to his home school. If he wanted to go Clemson, that's fine but be straight up with Butch before hand instead of giving fake indications of coming to Tennessee. It's not hard to tell the truth to a coach.

We won't miss Tee until after next season anyhow. Why should we cry about it? He is only the top 5* WR recruit in the country & out of the state of Tennessee? We should never get mad over that should we guys? LOL! :p

Nah...get mad...start a fight...violate some civil rights...then what's your following act? :hmm:

Oh I agree. People are dissing his character, not his ability.

This is more about being butt hurt but then if he swung back to ut thes same people would be talking from the other side of their mouth.

I would not if he really did play the coaches like it appears. Remember Kelly Washington and his time here. Very talented but created team issues. This team has bought into Butch and what he is doing and seem to have good character as I posted before. Talent plus character is like clear eyes and a full heart..........can't lose. That is what I don't thing you have here.

We had 5* Clemson commit Tavein Feaster visit last year around this time. Dabo pulled no offer or made no threats.

I think that no visits shtick is only for marginal prospects.

Tee will probably have no such directive.

I forgot about Feaster. Maaaaaan I hate Clemson!! They needd an AS... nevermind.

dyllisvol42, I still would like to hear from you and why you still think he will be a Vol on NSD or when he enrolls early. You have held this stance since he originally decommitted and after his Clemson commitment on Monday...why?

I don't see how it can be based on anything other than wild hope. The player himself very publicly declared his intentions

Hate to say it, but tee made the right choice for his future. UT is only wr blocking U. It all falls back to scheme, and they are a better fit for his nfl aspirations. Let's get this thread off our page 1 already.

Please show everyone his direct discussions with Butch and staff. You are assuming that he straight up lied to the staff.

Winning is the difference. If we live up to the hype then recruiting will pick up. If Clemson struggles, likewise, they'll cool off.

He/she seemed to be connected to this recruitment. I never remember the poster making those kind of statements on other recruits in the past.

Oddly that doesn't really hold water. As Butch has won more, recruiting has declined. He won 7, and the 2016 class wasn't what most expected. A step back from the previous year. He then wins 9 and it looks worse. Yes, it's July, but there's obviously issues right now recruiting wise.

Those sure winning 10 cures all looks like a lot of hope and little to support it to me.

With Watson gone after this year, who will be their QB.

Has anyone told Tee that we will have a passing QB next year and will be throwing more.

The only thing Clemson has vs UT is the drive time between his house and his Momma's house. She probably suggested for him to just live at home and then he knew he had to go somewhere else and out of respect for the Vols he chose a Non SEC school.

Any where he goes he will get Rock Star treatment.

Right now, in the 4th year, we have a Gator Bowl to sell ATP. You don't think a NY6 bowl and being a top 10ish team throughout the year would be a major selling point over being a fringe top 25 team?

There are dozens of factors with recruiting. Winning is one of the biggest.

Outback Bowl too.

They have 1 highly rated QB on campus now and two more coming in, one being Hunter Johnson. So I think he will be fine QB wise wherever he goes.

All you guys flipping out. It's one player.

Preston Williams is better than Tee Higgins and would have been the number 1 overall player in his class if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Time to throw him the ball.

ATP I think it is an indictment of our entire class so far.

Also don't get the Player A vs Player B point, especially when they're two years apart.

Um, kinda hard to be definitive about who is better... Let me think, would it be better to have one, or both? Not hard at all.

To think he is not on the level is crazy
