'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

This whole fiasco is disappointing because Tee said we were his leader. If he mislead us,then he betrayed our trust.

Did Amari ever consider Tennessee?

Yes and Clemson with ha in recent WR success was the main reason he chose Clemson. It was a Clemson/UT battle after he decommitted. Everyone has this made up theory that he hates UT with a passion just because he's trying to get recruits from Tennessee lmao. Ig Henderson hates GA since he's recruiting Holloman

Betrayed our trust? Really? Have you followed this staffs recruiting since arriving in Knoxville? Ok, that made me laugh.

It's been absolutely funny as hell to watch your post quota quadruple with the first sign of bad news.
It's just your own private Garden of Eden isn't it lol.

Plus CU has 3 coaches on staff that either coached or played at UT.I am sure they are good friends with his dad.Two of them have probably known him since birth.

Couple posts from Fortenberry...

"Really surprised here. Had some people tell me in the last few weeks they were confident it was Tennessee. Obvisouly, that isn't the case as Clemson picked the Tigers.

This one isn't over and won't be until signing day, but I'm pretty surprised right now."

"He spent a lot of time with Tennessee's coaches the last few weeks and gave them a lot of indications that Tennessee was the right place. Obviously, that wasn't what happened. I think that's why the staff is probably frustrated today."

Pretty sure Dabo is putting Johnson and Higgins up to this ****.

Funny since all the Clemson boards talk about is how their program and athletes are full of such great character.

He's not going to spin it at all, at least until NSD he can't talk about it. If it holds, it's much bigger than losing a safety like Vonn Bell. It's more in the Chris Leak, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams area.

This is one that can't be sugar coated... it's our biggest loss since Williams in my opinion (for a recruit we were in on, so I'm not counting Jalen Ramsey). If it hurts, it should.

Those were all big losses for sure. Derek Watson and Chris Simms also come to mind.

So tee clowned Butch. Oh. 😱

And we still orchestrating commitments? Lol

So what's your argument actually? You've made 3 different ones now. They're 6-5 vs the SEC and also have wins over OU (2x) and O$U in that stretch. You argued last year was fluke success, then when shown they've actually had a solid run over the last half-decade you turn it into how they'd do in the SEC. Kids see 11-2 seasons, BCS bowls and WR drafted year in and year out.

Why do you always seem to throw salt in Tennessee's wounds?

You have bad info.

That's very true. But most of their conference opponents aren't anywhere near the same atmosphere. I think that was his point.

That's a legit point. Outside of FSU or a top notch OOC opponent like Auburn coming to town, that's probably correct. However, I doubt that's really a big deal to an 18 year old kid. All he likely considers is the opportunity to catch more passes at Clemson where he has an easier path to playing for a national title, both of which will mean more to his NFL prospects.

My guess is he likely visited Clemson during a home game when the stadium was full, and the atmosphere was electric and exciting and that's what he's expecting, whether that's what he's gonna actually get every game or not.

Anybody else wish we never took HJ's commitment? He then contacts Tee, the two hang out with Amari in Knox, and well, the rest of the story sucks. Hope our TN commitments start to work OT to keep others in-state.
