If he can't promise immediate playing time then he can't recruit. He probably told Tee he would be redshirted to build up some strength to be a better run blocker. We lost Tee for the same reason with lost Hunter, we wanted them to conform to fit this spread zone read run 1st offense

If we win the recruits will come. Signing day is 7 months away. Much can change. Higgins and others can still change their minds. He has before and could again.

The amazing thing is it should be at its highest level. Coming off a good season with many experts predicting 10+ win season with a SEC title game appearance.

What happened? The only thing I can think of is the lawsuit and how others are using it for negative recruiting. Maybe the subpar passing attack isn't helping either with the playmakers

True but Dooley failed to make adjustments and did not know how to control a game. Once his team was down, they stayed down like a bunch of scared little kids. At least Butch's team puts up a good fight against top teams. Just got to learn how to close those big games out.

Hiring DeBord was a huge mistake. It is obvious that no great WRs want to play in this offense. I blame Butch for hiring his buddy instead of getting a real OC. We are going downhill after next year.

We will have to throw the ball better but our run game will win championships.

The offense has plenty of passing opportunities. With better blocking, better passing, and better route running, it could be deadly. Our WRs dropped some easy TDs and long balls also.

Exactly. It has and will always be about having a dominant defense. Bama wins championships with only one receiving threat, a dominant running game, and a disruptive defense. It's the same formula every year and no one has stopped it. Don't let losing a recruit ruin your day. At this point I would argue our program is at a better stage than Clemson's. This year on the field will prove that. It's easy to have a flash in the pan season in a weak conference.

It depends... do you want this style of offense? This style almost beat the national champion at their place. We also haven't seen it with a true pass first qb. I'm anxious to see QD run this offense after Dobbs leaves. Don't get me wrong... we would be set back without Dobbs this year though.

Meh, this is what I call a "step away from the ledge post". We don't know what this offense will look like with Guarantano at QB. My guess is that we will look great. We'll see.

On another note, the biggest sports story of the day is Kevin Durant and there are similarities to Tee Higgins. They are both leaving their home town. They both appear to be bandwagon picks. They both appeared to be staying home just last week and most importantly to this thread... They both show how fallible inside information is. Someone in Durant's camp told ESPN last week that Durant was 80% sure to resign with OKC...
