They'd probably think the same thing if they came here and visited this thread, Hunter Johnson's thread, Amari Rodger's thread, Jordan Williams' thread, Cordarrian Richardson's thread, etc.

I would say Tenn 60/40 because I've never known Hubbs and Fort and the insiders here to all be wrong on the same recruit whereas the Clemson guys are strictly homers. However, he has de-committed here once and does seem a little flaky. Should be Monday if our info is right.

Maybe, but those are all recruiting battles between the two schools. They have threads about Maleik Gray, 2 threads about OCD and getting 7 3 star commits in one day, Tee's spring practice game in Knoxville, our satellite camp, KD Dixon's decommit, multiple threads about Clemson vs. UT recruiting battles, and so on. It just seems over the top... especially when no other schools see that kind of attention on their board.

We have found ourselves head to head with them a lot recently. Good company if you ask me. Not surprising to me that they are watching us closely. They should be. We seem to be getting to them.

They have a thread about Maleik Gray? That does seem weird. They were never a factor for him. That was a Tenn / Fla State battle.

If they have a thread actively discussing Maleik Gray then that's pretty over the top. He never even considered them. They offered him but he never visited them and he named his leaders as Florida St, Tenn, Alabama two months ago.

I'd love to start the opening season next year with Clemson. I honestly think we could hang with them and possibly win. But like D4H said, they won't ever schedule us.

Per Hubbs

We continue to hear rumblings that Tee Higgins could be on the verge of making a decision and, as it has been for some time, it's will be a decision between Tennessee and Clemson (although we've heard Ohio State really pushed this week to try a land secure a visit).

As for an unofficial timetable, Higgins hasn't commented. But, nothing would surprise us at this point as Higgins has gone very quiet in the last week.

We continue to believe the Vols remain in a good spot with Higgins at this time as he has seen the Vols the most the last three weeks. But it should be noted that there is confidence from the Clemson side of things. The question is when will Higgins do something. Everyone has heard the July 4th rumors but Higgins hasn't confirmed anything.

Clemson is a top 5 team, and closer to #1 than 5, IMO.

I fully expect them to make the playoffs and I think a matchup with them would be exceptionally interesting, especially given the recruiting battles recently

That reminds me a little bit of what Hubbs had to say about Nigel Warrior's decision when the Auburn insiders were expressing confidence near NSD. We should all be pretty good at deciphering Hubbs' code word language at this point and "in good position for" means he thinks we lead but things can change. If Hubbs thought we were on the outside looking in, such as with Kyle Davis, he will always say so. His track record is really very good with "in good position for" players.

Clemson used to be just a fly on the wall to me, a team that was good but I never really paid attention to. Lately though, their fanbase has become insufferable.

There is nothing more that I would like than to face them in a bowl game this year and whoop dat ass. Especially so I can just see the Clemson Tom meltdown on twitter. By the way that dude talks you would think Clemson is one of the most historic teams in CFB History and Tennessee is just "another passionate fanbase" but a basement dwelling team like Vandy.

Their 1 National Title, .603 all-time record, and their stupid rock just scream great historic program.
