They definitely put him on a hold, unless he were to get his act together. He has an Alabama offer as they want him to be a blocking tight end. As far as Tee goes, there isnt much that will come from his camp. Quiet kid, nice family.
My brother coaches for OR and while yes, TN does seem to have the best shot for Tee he seems to be wanting to wait the process out, as he should. He very well could pull the trigger if we were to get johnson for all i know. Im not claiming people do or do not know what they are talking about, but its not like Tee is just out here letting everyone know either. Many of the coaches over there do not know where Tee will end up with 100% certainty. I think personally he will be a Vol, but with all this talk like NO ONE has a chance is just not accurate.

Unless you're family, then that trumps anything I say. :)

they will do some cool marketing, you might be able to see it as they wait in the tunnel. its all a PR thing, they will do a photo shoot or twelve and that will be the end of it.

Exactly along the same lines of information ive been getting. I would say you've got just as much inside knowledge with this as i do and as far as the one asking about Middleton. I know his uncle with all the stuff from his past at Powell, Tennessee just pretty much backed off and when we got the TE out of Washington D.C. to commit the ship sailed with him. Ive also heard what you heard that Alabama is still after him to play TE.

I don't know too much about Middleton. Arizona State probably isn't the best fit for him. Hes grown up some at Oak Ridge, though. Unless he just has an All American year, I definitely don't see TN getting back involved with him. Ive heard things about his younger brother going to be a stud. Im not sure if he's a fresh or soph. He was one of the kids in the bad car wreck in maryville and was the least hurt, so its possible you will see him some this year.

With Tee, the sky is the limit. I honestly don't believe he's actually received a formal offer yet. I know they have had some coaches visit within the past couple of months. You never know with these kids now a days though, one minute their waiting and the next they're committing early. Ill drop in when i hear something worth noting.

If any of you guys get the chance, get out and see him play this year. Truly fun to watch.

Exactly right bigworm, he is amazing to watch in person. He is head and shoulders above every receiver around the area. Coach Gaddis says hes the best receiver he has had at this point in his career and Coach Gaddis has seen some great players and for him to say that speaks volumes. I think he will have a breakout year since Oak Ridge has gone to the Georgia Tech style offense. All of the running should leave him 1 on 1 and there isnt a DB around that can cover him 1 on 1. As far as Middleton Tennessee wont came back after him they feel really good about the TE they have committed. That ship has officially sailed.

yeah my dad called me about it unfortunately im at work tonight and didnt get to go see it. Which i graduated from Clinton. So im cheering for Clinton but also for Higgins since he should be a future Vol.

I wouldn't consider him to be more gifted than a healthy Preston Williams or Kyle Davis (if he comes here).

I wouldn't necessarily go that far. Hes very good but not quite to healthy Preston Williams. He reminds me a lot of Josh Malone in high school.

Damn all this Oak Ridge talk has got the feels train a-chooing

Oak Ridge is the reason I became a UT fan. Used to spend summers there as a kid. Begged my parents to let me fly solo to go see the Vols (this wasn't really a big deal back then). Even offered to sacrifice my birthday present for a ticket to go see a game. Long story short, I convinced my granny, my granny convinced my mom, my mom convinced my dad and my dad smoothed it over with the brother and sister. This was an excruciatingly slow process for an 8 year old. Anyways, I still remember that mischievous feeling I had because I skipped school to fly to a football game while all my friends back home. I also remember UT fans on the plane, which was really cool because they were flying from Dallas but were decked out in Tennessee gear.

It was my first and only game at Neyland and it still dumbfounds me today. Now when I think of Neyland I think of 98 and that feeling of my lower jaw shaking from the reverberations of 100,000 people screaming. It's impossible to forget.

What hurts Tee a lot is he doesn't have a very good QB to throw the ball to him. The QB at Oak Ridge is a good runner not quite the passer though and that henders Tee a lot. Clinton who they played tonight if you put Clintons QB on Oak Ridge throwing to Tee. Tee would have a crazy season.
