For the record, I didn't mean to say anything negative about Tee. I know he's doing his job. It just kind of feels like there's a disturbance in the force when he shows up to recruit East TN kids to Southern California of all places.

However, I did lose a little respect for him when he visited here when Butch was hired, received an offer, and then got a raise at USC. I appreciated Tee for his time at UT, but if I were Butch Jones, Tee and Jay Graham would never be back as an assistant. I wouldn't care if they visited but not coming back as an employee. I am not a person that normally holds grudges either, but most could sense that Butch Jones was changing the culture, and they didn't care to ride out the difficult times. JMO.

For a person that doesn't normally hold grudges, you're doing a great job at holding one. Seems like you've done it before.

USC has been on Tee for a little while and the offer was coming sooner rather than later. Tee showed up and it was a nice gesture and all but in the end the trip was more about Higgins than Middleton. If Tee Martin likes traveling through 2 time zones to get told thanks but no thanks than more power to SoCal to send him traveling here for that

Then don't take the trip. I would have been fine if he had declined it, but he took, most likely knowing his decision. It was just odd to me.

Have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you are confusing me with someone else. When Graham left, I said something similar that he shouldn't expect to be employed at UT again as long as Jones is coach. Same thing as I just said. Folks in the recruiting forum know I am a positive person. The Tee ordeal soured me a bit. Just one man's opinion.

He has a son that lives in Knoxville. I'm sure it was couched as a trip to see him.

When he posted the pic on Twitter someone made the same comment about him making the "VOL" sign but, in fact, it is actually a hand sign guys from his school make.

I lived in Clinton my whole life and spent plenty of time in OR and have NEVER seen seen a wildcat throw up the shocker/Vol hand gesture.
