'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

From what I've been told from people in the know in Oak Ridge is he's Tennessee's to lose. I was finally told he's gonna go football instead of basketball that was a worry for a while but This is looking good for Tennessee. He will wait till Senior Year to commit

Was told the same thing. My cousin plays football with him and basketball was a big possibility early on, but with all the big attention he is rightfully getting in football he has decided to go with football.

Had at least 2 touchdowns I witnessed and several more receptions and big plays (offense and defense). Clemson (Dan Brooks) and UT (jancek and debord) in the house to watch.

According to Twitter, Tee Martin (his namesake) is at Oak Ridge to offer Higgins and Middleton a scholarship.

If I was Butch, Id be at Oak Ridge before it lets out today. This guy is a priority.

Am I the only one who feels like there is something just fundamentally wrong with this? I know he's just doing his job, but for a guy who led us to a national championship and has a street on campus named after him to come into our back yard and recruit our top targets for USC...it just feels...I don't know...dirty.

It sucks whenever another school comes into your backyard and attempts to take coveted recruits, but when it's a former Vol doing it, you're right, it hurts a little more from a fan perspective. It's just business though.

Like I posted about a couple of weeks ago about a USC offer coming which it did. Tee Martin was at Tee's school and did offer and although did intrigue him but mainly for visit purposes only. Tee H. knows where he wants to be and nothing is going to change his mind on that. This kid is going to be a good one to watch grow. But even better we can watch him grow with that orange and white on

As bad as this sucks, Freak is right. A coach's loyalty is to whoever signs his paychecks. He can be a fan again when he retires. I assume Florida probably doesn't dig it when Gillespie loots their state in the name of Rocky Top, but I doubt he has any compunctions about it. Just a guy doing his job.

Oh we get that it's just his job. I understand why he does it. It is our job, however, to boo that man for doing his job because it's against our interests at the time. So, booooo!

Yep.

His job at USC does not in any way, shape or form change my job as a fan of UT.

I have no problem with Tee selling USC, just as long as he doesn't disparage UT. The only reason they send him here, is because of the name he has here. He only has that name, because we have loved him for being a Vol.

Have no problem with it- he is just doing his job.

However, I did lose a little respect for him when he visited here when Butch was hired, received an offer, and then got a raise at USC. I appreciated Tee for his time at UT, but if I were Butch Jones, Tee and Jay Graham would never be back as an assistant. I wouldn't care if they visited but not coming back as an employee. I am not a person that normally holds grudges either, but most could sense that Butch Jones was changing the culture, and they didn't care to ride out the difficult times. JMO.

FWIW it was widely speculated at the time that he was persuaded to stay in LA by his wife, a thoroughly mediocre musical talent, in order to aid her entertainment career
