'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Bringing 'good news' about a recruit just to be able to include a subtle jab at Azzani and the current WR's. This is the new de1. Enjoy folks. Again, I still feel sorry for you de1. I hope whatever is ailing you gets healed.

Posts like these make his point about folks being too sensitive. Imo

I didn't read a subtle jab at Azzani, i read him repeating what he heard from the kid. That shouldn't sting, we've all seen the wr production and common sense shouldn't allow us to put all that on the oline and Dobbs. We have wr's just as sought out as Tee on our squad right now. Yet(and I know the camera angles don't usually allow us to follow the receivers patterns and spacing), we haven't seen or heard of many opportunities missed as far as open receivers. My point being I think its absolutely as fair to question Azzani to this point, as it it's any coach on our staff.

I'll be the 1st to say Azzani is an below average WR coach and i talk to several of the current WRs and they're extremely frustrated. Now on the Tee Higgins comment I made that came directly from the horse's mouth. Once again lose the sensitivity issues because I will bring the good and the bad. I'm definitely not a sunshine pumper. Just know you can believe it or not but I honestly don't make this stuff up by no means. He wants to be a VOL but if things don't change quickly he could easily flip.

Let's just say that unless an epic meltdown happens Tee is not going anywhere. You can mark this one done and there was never any question or doubt where he was and is going.

Frustrated from a coaching standpoint or from a non production standpoint? Curious to if this is one of those things were when things are going well it's all good but when not getting the ball it's all bad.

Guys, moving the non Tee discussion to the football discussion threads. Just FYI for anyone looking. :hi:

Higgins' head coach, Joe Gaddis, has seen the junior develop into a phenomenal athlete with smooth hands and a quick burst who is starting to put it all together at the wide receiver position.

"He's as good as I've had already," Gaddis said. "He loves to block. He's a good blocker and runs great routes. He catches the ball really well with his hands. He's got great speed. HE can jump. He'll do all those things better as he grows and develops, but he doesn't have a weakness. His strengths will become stronger."

"Great kid," Gaddis said. "The University of Tennessee is going to love him, but they're not going to get him too quick, because he's a junior. He's just a good kid. He's a quiet kid, he's a hardworking kid and he's not let all this celebrity get to him at all. That's really refreshing to see."

With Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis looking on from the Oak Ridge sidelines, Higgins made an acrobatic touchdown reception, came up with a highlight-film interception and returned a punt 41 yards to set up a touchdown as the Wildcats improved to 7-1.

“Wherever you put him, he’s going to make a play,” Oak Ridge coach Joe Gaddis said. “He was really covered well on the touchdown pass and he just took it away from the guy, and that was a great interception.”

Higgins, a Tennessee commitment, totaled six receptions for 95 yards as the Wildcats head into a bye week before returning to action on Oct. 23 against Webb at Oak Ridge.

McElwain is definitely recruiting our commitment list hard. Tee is class of '17 so there is a lot of work still to do here... but I wouldn't be worried.

According to an article I read on Tee, he says he is going to be bringing some players with him. He mentioned Hardman and Amari Rodgers as 2 players he was recruiting.
