'17 TN ATH Jacoby Stevens (LSU commit)

Kiffin never left anywhere a disaster. UT fans that say stiff like this are still hurt. He brought in a top 5 class that contributed. Yes like a classes he had some that had to be let go charactr guys. That 1 yr didn't destroy UT. At USC he had to start all over and was short handed on scholarships. Haden was a train wreck and the true cause of the demise and fall of USC. Kiffin turned a crap qb into a pro qb at UT, he and his staff had to come in and cut dead weight players, then attempt to rebuild. The Raiders were who they were which is why he wanted out. What LSU would get is a hell of a qb coach/OC that can recruit his butt off which is easy to do at LSU because of the frtile recruiting grounds and no competition in state.

Goodness, is that you Kiffin?

There were more than some from his recruiting class here that dropped. How many from that class made it to their senior year? And how many recruiting violations did it take? Is he a good coordinator and QB coach, yes. As a head coach he is a disaster.

LSU will follow the classic coaching change template. They will hire someone exactly the opposite of Les Miles.

Given that Les ran the ball 2/3 of the time, and didn't score a lot of points, relying on defense to win the game. Look for someone who puts up big numbers on offense, and passes the ball often. I also look for someone who is well spoken, and seems to have it "together."

Kiffin left USC in shambles. He was preseason No.1 in the country and unranked by game 6-7. He's not won a thing anywhere. LSU would be dumb to not go after Herman first.

Kiffin wasn't the only reason UT had the dark era. But he contributed alot. Don't get that twisted. His decision to leave was a microcosm of his mentality. He doesn't deserve a power 5 headcoaching gig for a long time. Hell your man is still being chewed out by Saban and tweeting a bunch of trash. He ain't ready til he man's up.

Kiffin's sense of entitlement is only fueled by opinions like this. There is no way you can legitimately say he left Tennessee or USC in better shape than he found them. The guy is a brilliant offensive mind, but has the maturity of a college freshman. Autonomous power and influence only further poison that. He can't handle the spotlight and pressure of being in charge. It's like handing the keys to a Porsche to an 8 year old.

Just talked with an Oakland parent

"Look for JaCoby to open it up again"

Don't think he's talked to anyone. He said he knows JaCoby really thought a lot of Miles.

Does Jacoby have any ties to UT?
Has he visited us unofficially or officially?
When he chose LSU, did he state a runner-up(s)?
Thanks.

Think he has family down there. Believe he's LSU bound no matter what.

You never know for sure, but yeah he has family there. I haven't heard of any commits changing their mind, yet. I wouldn't be surprised by a few decommits but many of the current commits have already said they are still coming. Time will tell.

Doesn't matter too much. LSU will make a good hire that will get the buzz going again. They will always recruit well.

If it were me I'd at least make it public that I'm considering options even if not decommitting. I'd probably wait to bail till I saw the hire or the 2-3 top candidates and if I'd want to play for them. LSU firing Les now while odd timing does have them way out front of those choosing to fire coaches in Nov/Dec.

Didn't know we held coaching clinics. Thx for that information 😂😂😂😂😂😂 get the jokes right and like I said before he camped with us. So that joke is wack too.

The joke's on you if you really believe this is a joke. Your bias is more than obvious. They camp with you - they're good; they don't - they are untalented or have character issues. Coaches don't value/agree with your opinions - they're morons. You're self-righteous. The lack of ethics from someone in your position - not only a mentor, but also a confidant - is disturbing.

But yes, I apologize for my poor wording. Thanks for reminding us that Jacoby camped with you, I mean that Jacoby is good.

Is this a joke? Kiffin absolutely had a big part in TN disaster. Ran off several players that were then replaced by players that were trouble and hardly any of his recruits made it through an entire career. He is a heck of a coach and maybe things would have been different if he stuck around but he didn't and neither did most of his recruits.
