Nope. Just a proud Dad, and Ohio Vol fan who stumbled upon this thread. Good luck this season. I hope the new regime can right the ship down there. Take care. Go Vols!
I like how the caption says "his first unofficial visit to The University of Tennessee". Thanks for posting...

This guy will be a blue chipper if he has all this interest from big time programs before even getting to high school.

I really don't understand the excitement being raised just because the kid is an upcoming freshman

1. If he's being recruited by NCAA schools and could develop into a potential UT prospect then he should have a thread

2. Pretty sure the Berry Bros had threads established before they even made it into the 8th grade
Pretty sure that was because of who they are.

Is he favoring any programs? Any "dream school"?
The Vols are definitely in our top 3. We were a guest last year vs Alabama. We love all the tradition, and history down there. The new football complex is beautiful, and state of the art. I think we were singing Rocky Top for about 2 weeks after we got home. Right now we are focused on the upcoming season, and we are expected to do well this year. For the first time in 122 years of Massillon Football, a freshman QB has been brought up to varsity. Go Vols!

Hey guys new poster here, just wanted to give you some info. First although Paul Brown didnt say he was Clarks dad, just wanted to give a heads up that he's probably not, his story doesn't match up here with anything Clark has been saying in interviews in terms of recruiting. either that or they are on a diffrent page. although Clark has visited and likes Tenn, Clarks recruitment is Ohio State and nobody else at the moment to the point he told someone in an interview when Ohio State offers he's going to be a buckeye and shut down his recruitment, that nearly came possibly until everyone found out he couldn't go to FNL at Columbus due to his age.

Clark was born and raised in Columbus with a huge buckeye familly until they moved to Massillon in about his 6th/7th grade school year and he says he used to go to all the Buckeye home games and says he plans to do that this year

as far as his actual talent? i would probably compare him to Collin Kaepernick. Kaepernick out of HS ran a 4.9 according to scout, Clark already runs a in the high 4.7's and thats at 13/14 years old and doesn't know how to run (he looks awkward and uncomfortable). still as an 8th grader he rushed for 1100 yards and didnt play the 4th quarter all season in only 8 games.

Passing wise he completed 70% of his passes for something like 33 TDs and only 2 INTs , again in 8 games and not playing the 4th quarter. he plays a very smart game when it comes to passing the ball

his arm strength is better then some of the top HS Seniors as at the Junior AA game/camp he made 3 throws of 48, 53 and 51 Yards, again at only 14 years old, thats a rocket.

assuming he hasn't physically peaked, he's already 6'4 200 and running a high 4.7. by the time he's 18 he can be in that Cam Newton, Terrell Pryor, Vince Young athletic freak range of 6'6 225+ 4.5 40 Range along with a canon for an arm and those are alone going to get him a ton of big time offers and a top 10 nationally ranked QB

From ESPN. Sounds like the real deal. His line gave up 10 sacks, but they earned the victory in triple OT. Impressive.

Clark showed flashes of youth with two interceptions and a fumble. He also showed incredible poise in leading an 81-yard drive to put the Tigers ahead 13-10 late in the fourth quarter. The freshman came back with a touchdown pass in the second overtime to tie the game. He finished 14-of-24 for 170 yards with three touchdowns.

“Danny is a tough kid,” Massillon coach Jason Hall said. “He’ll learn from this. We’ll learn from it.

“Once you make a decision like that, you stick with it. He has confidence. All our quarterbacks have been training to play quarterback since they were little kids. You have to get the on-the-field experience. As he gets more experience, you’ll see growth.”

It’s hard not to see that already. The 15-year-old Clark is already 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds.

Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan State, Ohio State, Toledo and West Virginia know all about him already. In fact, the Spartans, Buckeyes, Rockets and Mountaineers have had him in camps.

He plays his home games in a stadium that seats 16,600, a facility that has signs everywhere celebrating its 22 state championships. Massillon is where Chris Spielman, Justin Zwick, Devin Smith and Willie Spencer played, where Paul Brown and Earle Bruce coached. Harry Stuhldreher -- one of the famed Notre Dame four horsemen -- was a Tiger before he played for the Fighting Irish.

OK, then. Let's add the fact he's the first freshman nonkicker to ever start for the Tigers, according to Massillon historians. Then let's put his debut on television on a statewide cable network.

Taking over at QB for Kyle Kempt (FR @ Oregon St)

Massillon Washington is always a good program that plays a tough schedule. My high school plays them on 9/20 and I'm expecting a blow out.

Massillon is the home high school of former Vol Tim Daniels. He was part of that great first recruiting class of Johnny Majors. The class was snake bitten with the great Lee Otis Burton rare blood disease and Tim Daniels cancer along with just bad luck of Glenn Ford.

I think my wife missed her birth control, so I'm going to go ahead an start a 2032 thread for my future child.

I'm assuming he'll be 7'0 and possibly bulletproof.
