Could be the greatest player in the world but if he does not have the grades to get in, it won't matter. The only thing we have heard on this guy's grades is that they are a concern. He could end up going JUCO, who knows? Hard to get excited about a player when he has unknown grade issues.

It's definitely a concern. But speaking as someone who once had a class with Cordarrelle Patterson, I'll never sweat too much an athlete's ability to qualify for enrollment at a publi university.

If he has unknown grade issues, how do you know they are issues? Hmmm Colonel Blanders?

I love to shop, but I am having a hard time buying your bull**** bignewt.

It don't think it is news to anybody that he has grade issues. The question is…how bad are those issues.

You are either a troll, or my least favorite vols fan ever. I have a hard time believing a actual vols fan would have nothing but constant negative things to say about the team he loves so I'm leaning towards you being a troll. Either way, I wish you'd quit posting.

I don't think it is negative to question where a recruit stands academically. Hopefully Jordan qualifies. It would just be good to know where he is right now with his grades.

Bignewt, I didn't expect you to provide anything productive and as usual you didn't disappoint. This year's class is completely different. We have missed on some guys and are reaching more than normal. The Gaddy brothers have grade issues as well.

Don't know the final stats, but he had a 10yd TD catch in a 56-42 loss tonight.

*9 catches 115 yards 1TD
77 return yards

I've watched 3 highlight videos of this kid over the weekend. He is going to be really good. He is athletic, agile, fast, & dynamic. We've got another Tyler Byrd-like player in him.

This is an odd comparison. You're comparing one relatively unknown player (Byrd) to another player who is completely unknown (Murphy.) Is the comparison of "Tyler Byrd-like player" referencing the fact that we know so little about both players?

This kid to me looks like an athletic (but not a burner) possession receiver. Byrd is a dynamic burner type WR. Different players to me as well.

I did say in my next post after the one quoted above that Tyler Byrd did have the slight advantage over Murphy overall.

I said Tyler Byrd was going to be special & I still mean it although he only has 1 catch thru 2 games. He's going to get better every game. I think this Murphy kid isn't far behind him though. Thanks!

Better to go without real data. Makes it easier to prove your point without all the clutter.
