'17 MS TE Chase Rogers (Former UT commit)

the three-star junior tight end from st. Stanislaus college in bay st. Louis, miss., said he had an “awesome” time during his latest trip to tennessee for its spring game, and he remains “110-percent tennessee” after adding a scholarship offer from mississippi state last month.

“i mean, every time i go (to tennessee), it grows on me more and more,” said rogers. “me and my dad were talking about it. At first, my dad was kind of skeptical about the orange color. Then, he said, ‘man, i actually like it now. It’s growing on me.’ “i’ve only been up there twice, but after going up there a second time, i just like it even more every time i go.”

“i went in there and i showed them the indoor facility, and they were just amazed by all of it,” rogers said. “they said, as i said in the beginning, the facilities are outstanding. And, right as we were about to leave, coach (butch) jones called us up to his office, and that really made the whole trip. We talked to coach jones for 15, 20 minutes. He introduced himself to my cousin and my older brother, and they had a great talk. He talked to all of them, and he included all of us in the conversation, which they really liked. And just that 15, 20 minutes with him made the whole trip, to be honest with you. It was awesome.”

mississippi state gave him his most recent offer in late march, a little more than three weeks after he committed to tennessee. But he said he’s not planning to visit the home-state bulldogs or give them strong consideration.

“i don’t want to say it mean, but i’m with tennessee,” rogers said, adding that he’s also drawing “a lot of interest” from oregon. “tennessee has nothing to worry about with mississippi state. That’s all i’m going to say. I don’t want to say anything mean.”

Hugh will reconcile with the coach when he brings his African prayer candles to meet with him.

Hugh can try. This kid is in LSU territory. I am more worried about LSU should they start showing serious interest. This kid is on the gulf coast. Oxford is basically a suburb of Memphis in comparison. Kids that far south are raised on LSU.

Hugh has bigger problems after the Tunsil draft conference. Like big problem$

Love it, let them bash Ole Miss for the spring and summer, get off our back with this lawsuit.
