Stories from my two trusted sources...

1. Aunt was seen buying tons of UT gear on Christmas Eve in the local mall around his hometown.

2. A anonymous member of his family and one of his coaches told a 247 member he's going to UT.

3. He told Trey Smith he wants to play behind him and is recruiting LaBryan Ray hard to come play on Rocky Top as well.

If they are wrong, I will never trust the sources I have again. I'm way too stoked about the things I've heard in the past 36 hours or so.

He is announcing at the Mississippi hall of Fame. His HS coach will be interviewed tomorrow by the TV network carrying Akers' announcement and will break down the depth charts at each school Cam is considering before Cam makes his announcement.

This guy is the real deal. I know the same thing is said about a lot of people that come out of High school but if you look at the competition this guy has embarrassed, you will know what I mean. Most of the time when you see video on a recruit, they are running over kids that just aren't that good. Drew Richmond comes to mind, the kids he played against weren't that good. Akers played against very good competiton in the most difficult class in Mississippi and had his way with them. I went to the South Panola game and was blown away with his skills. Whoever gets him (hopefully us) will be getting a Leonard Fournette type playmaker.

I would laugh my tail off all the way to the bank. What are they going to do? Tell everyone they gave money while under investigation for giving money? That said, we all know payments are after they are on campus, big money anyway. Everyone knew OM would try.

If Butch can pull him in while sitting on the #2 spot on the Hot Seat list for 2017 then this would probably be the greatest recruiting job ever.

I just can not see that happening but would be happily shocked if it did.
