Interesting post by a Vols fan on another board: "Cordarrian Richardson [RB] decommitted from Clemson yesterday, trending FSU right now."

247Sports is predicting FSU now:

Cordarrian Richardson, Trezevant, Running Back

Are his grades (qualifying) an issue at Clemson? If so, is that less of an issue at FSU? Is it an indication Akers has picked UT, and Richardson is the next RB on FSU's board? Maybe. Maybe not.

There do seem to be some signs, rumblings, etc. that the Vols could be trending toward better odds of landing Akers.

Would be a huge get, no doubt.

Hope this guys a vol, could start a dominoes effect that carries into recruiting next year after a sec champ game appearance. Next year is gonna be fun, two in a row over fl and three in a row over uga and finally ending the muschamp curse...and if guys stay healthy, round d two vs bama is gonna be good

If he's a vol the domino effect started with Trey Smith and his wanting to be a champion of life (I add this because he said that was one of the reasons he chose UT)

"We have said throughout his recruitment that Tennessee is in it and that he's closest to Robert Gillespie. Gillespie has done a great job recruit Cam and his family. As we have noted before, Akers last trip to Knoxville in the summer the entire family was in town and was here for multiple days.

I think Ohio State is not a factor. I have said I think it's Tennessee or FSU. I just don't see him at Ole Miss with all that's going on there. I like that FSU is the frontrunner for Richardson because that means to me they don't feel great about Akers.

Tennessee lost some momentum with Akers the last week of the open period, but the Sunday (dead period day) last minute in home by Gillespie was important.

All of that said, Akers isn't talking other than his tweet. He hasn't done any interviews this month."

Akers is FSU bound mainly because nearly everything I've read on 247 is pro Akers toward FSU. Yet, it seems Rivals still believes TN is in it. If Akers chooses TN on Tuesday, I may have to switch my subscription to Rivals.

Funny though, I use Volnation for good information more than any of the pay sites.

This year I'm thankful: that we got Tennessee kids Trey Smith,Ty Chandler, & Maleik Gray committed!

My XMAS wish list: Corker(DB), Akers(RB), Ray(DL) and Moore(OL) and make sure we fight to KEEP everyone we can, really don't want to lose one commit so we'll just have to see how the #'s work out, they always do.

Didn't want to get caught up in this before his announcement, but I really believe Akers is ours. I think his relationship with Coach G, Trey Smith, and immediate playing time lands him on Rocky Top.

If Richardson was extended a legit offer from FSU (considering hid grade situation) it has to look good for UT. Them offering Richardson is the equivalent of us offering a few of the ?'s weve "offered" over the past few weeks. If you read into it like I am, him tweeting he wants to make momma smile, and she's close2gillespie then the momentum should be on our side. And if true, WOWOWOWOWOW if we close with Ray and Akers.
