'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

I think momma really likes CRG. In fact, notice who's sitting beside her at the state championship game a couple weeks ago...

Got some serious thinking to do these next few days. Never thought it'd be like this.🤔

Now my mama all smiles I had to take the frowns away 🙏🏾💯

Mom wants him to go to Ole Miss...so you draw the connections...

Momma also really close with CRG. That could also be the connection.

My percentage for Akers becoming a Vol has moved up to 66%. Others dropped - FSU to 20%, Ole Miss to 10% and remaining schools 4%. Looking better. Check my commitment prediction percentage stats they are infallible.

Kelly, Akers, Chandler, Fils-Aime, Coleman... Now that's some Alabama RB depth.(please come true)

Then throw in Guarantano or Dormady, And maybe even Sheriron Jones, and Freshman Mcbride.

Malone(if he returns), Jennings, Byrd, Smith, Callaway, Johnson, Murphy, Williams, Jones, Fant

Wolf, Pope, Wolf, Brown, Jakob Johnson

Experienced offensive line

And a defense that should still be good if they play to their potential.

IMO it's at least a 9-3 team if not better. No excuses next year. I'm one of those people that is giving Butch one more chance, but there's not an excuse to be 7-5 or 8-4 next year. I actually feel more comfortable about us next year, because nobody will pick Tennessee to win the east with Georgia getting michel and Chubb back. It always seems like when nobody picks Tennessee we surpass expectations. When we went from Peyton to Tee what were expectations like for that 98' year? Probably lessened since manning left, but we saw what happened.

Should have one of if not the best offense in the country next year

Honestly, I would bet that Akers has told some people that he's going to be a Vol. Whether it's recruits, players or coaches of Tennessee. And that's where this optimism comes from with Hubbs and Fortenberry. They just seem too optimistic but at the same time guarded, by continuing to say the Tennessee is up at the top with Florida State. All at the same time it seems no one else is giving Tennessee much of a chance. They don't say that kind of thing unless it's something they can confirm. But I also think they have to see it to believe it which is why they haven't come out and said we think Tennessee leads, imo.

I agree they are usually very somber even when it's common knowledge there a vol

My question though is can Butch adapt? You don't adapt and be able to change as a coach, and you'll be gone quick. The good/great coaches adapt to year by year changes in football, but the average ones(which I hope Butch proves not to be) are unwilling to change and adapt leaving teams with 7-8 wins a year at best. If he is willing just to let go and be the CEO instead of Mr. Controleverything then and only then I think he can reach his true potential as a head coach. Hopefully he hires Helfrich and lets him and Shoop control the offense and defense like it should be. All Butch needs to worry about is recruiting and being a salesman and motivator, because that is the things he's best at.

I honestly don't know. I've seen it here. Maybe it's not legit

I found a quote where Akers says he has a great relationship with coach G. Another where a VQ mod mentions that he and G are close. But nothing saying G is his best relationship.

Well here's a pic taken with CMG doing the Lords work with Cams mom while she's putting in the Lords work, gotta love it.

Somebody said that Akers likes Jimbo the best.

Akers knows that he'll spend 80% of his time with his position coach.

Gillispie is the X-factor. CRG shuts this down. My CB is orange.

Butch is great at recruiting, beating Vandy not so much.

Go ahead and tell us which team you really root for. It will be just as rewarding and liberating as when you finally came out of the closet!:good!: Besides, after you come clean you will find out we here at Volnation already knew, and will respect your post a whole lot more , and love and accept you the way you really are!:)
