I could be wrong but Marlin Lane had like 90% of CBs for Clemson but ended up committing to Tennessee. He was a diehard Clemson fan growing up.

I believe him choosing to visit UT late in the process after committing to Clemson cost him his spot at Clemson even if he wanted to choose them.

Probably not but people wouldn't be able to negatively recruit against us as much. Butch being on the hot seat will likely be the difference in cam Akers choosing FSU over TN

I've not seen anything that leads to me to believe that we are in this...no official visit and not 1 CB( in the last two years anyway)

Recruiting sites don't know anything because the Akers aren't talking. FSU is getting CBs cause it's the most likely choice from an outsiders perspective. We were never a real threat in this one... just forum rumors.


I don't know anything factual either.. but I think Cam is a Rebel and has been for awhile. Just seems like a kid who wants to stay home and rep his home state, regardless of how they've used RBs in the past.

I have no idea where the kid is going, but I question your logic. If he's staying home, wouldn't it be better to go ahead and commit so that he can help Ole Piss get other recruits?
