Na, I bet that is almost completely in reference to the Haney article.

These services don't really know any more than us when it comes to Akers recruitment since he hasn't been discussing it with anyone. Everything is guesses and tea leaves.

I am trying to maintain guarded optimism..but every time I think of that stupid game...I almost go full negabutch. But so much of what those guys say is such complete BS, I just can't fall in with them. I would rather be optimistic and hopeful, than to wish for major calamity to happen just to get rid if Butch. That agenda is stupid and true negavol,.

Seems like he would trust RG more than some hack with an agenda to sell.

Didn't someone post in one of the threads about Scott and RG getting lots of look at other schools?

Our biggest positive for this recruitment to this point for Akers (from our perspective and what I have read on here at least) is his relationship with RG. If I am Jimbo, I am nailing home the staff uncertainty and Butch's hot seat to Cam. If he gets Cam to believe that than he negates RG's relationship with Cam because RG might not even be here next year if Butch gets fired.

Scott has been rumored out but very little about RG.

Here's the facts: Butch ain't going anywhere. So we can be negative all offseason for no reason, or we can hope that Butch makes some great staff hires, corrects mistakes that costed them this year, and go into next season ready to win. He's already doing some things that will help us imo. For instance, he said that they are having very physical practices. I think it's obvious that not having those in fall camp hurt us pretty bad. Tackling was terrible. He needs to finish strong in recruiting, upgrade the staff, and go into next year planning to win. We should all hope he does. It's better for the program if Butch wins. It isn't good for us if we go through another coaching search.

The flip side of that coin is that ol Jimbo is liable to bolt somewhere else without warning, too.

Yeah I don't think RG will leave on his own, but did see something that it's not for a lack of interest from other teams. But if Butch gets fired next year there is a good chance hes gone. That probably worries Cam.

I've not seen anything other than the link to the FAU job. I saw comments from him that suggested he would stay unless a head coaching opportunity opened up and even then it would have to be the right job. I am sure he would entertain offers but he seemed pretty content by his comments.

There was also some talk about him going with Charlie Strong to USF but not sure how strong that was.

All the Negas talking about how great everybody else is doing in recruiting while we are spinning our wheels looking for positives on 3* players is depressing though. I mean missing Lawrence, Jones and Fields sucks hard. It feels like we are slipping badly in the struggle to get back to prominence..Damn that stupid Vandy game. I mean Smart is killing it at UGA right now, he would have to be massively incompetent to waste that much talent. This whole scenario is exactly what I was afraid of happening this year..Injuries or no however, I never saw the total collapse of the defense coming. The future looks a little bleak now. A great class would have kept us in position, I'm not real confident this one does...as it stands right now. Hopefully JG really is a transcendent talent, and can electrify this program into prominence. But my BVS is telling me that we never get players like that anymore, and he will be just another disappointment...All in all, I am really struggling with optimism today...Sorry.
