'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

Thanks! You're making my point for me! Now go take your aggression out on Jacket. I'm headed to my safe place.

No aggression my friend. Just stating my perception of why we regressed in those areas. Losing that many key players with significant experience is difficult to overcome. It's always next man up and I truly get that, but just dam* at how many we had on D this year.

I know, I was just messing with you. It's all good. You can still pester Jacket if you don't mind picking on the "special" poster.

"I think Tennessee has been a major factor but other schools are really trying to hammer home the perceived, by some, dysfunction at Tennessee. LSU and Ohio State seem to believe they are very real factors. I don't believe he ends up at Ole Miss or FSU, but his family has shut a lot of talk down so I don't know for sure.

When it's so hard to receive info with someone like Akers it's harder to call your shot. But, I just think Tennessee is in it, but the safe bet is still on the field."

So fortenberry is betting on LSU or OSU.

Nice try. Last sentence. Tennessee is in the field.

Fort is saying the safe bet is still on "the field". Meaning someone other than the Vols.

I take Fort's quotes to mean he feels good about where the Vols have positioned themselves but it's just too hard to say because of how quiet Akers has been.

Sounds like he's saying everyone has a 33% chance. That means there's a 66% chance Akers doesn't pick TN.

No, he's saying the smart money is on it being either TN, OSU or LSU. He didn't break down the odds between them. That's the concept of "the field."

Well it seems that some of our other '17 recruits feel that he is coming to UT so I'll continue to take that as a positive until something changes. We'll know soon enough I guess. There's still hope.

I think there is a lot of peer recruiting going on. Which I feel is huge in recruiting these days.

Truth is, I don't think anybody knows what the kid is thinking.

Then why did he say this" "...I just think Tennessee is in it"?
