Sunday will be the last day Akers will meet with coaches before he makes a college decision. He expects Ole Miss back at the house. LSU as well (Orgeron has already been in-home). Georgia and Tennessee are coming. However nobody more prominent than Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher is slated to come through to make a final pitch.

I think Butch wins this battle too. Trey Smith to UT was huge and they're friends. If your 5 star Left tackle buddy, who's also an EE, chose one of your top schools, why not join him in January? Akers has visited UT quite a few times and CRG has a very close relationship with him...Trey chose UT and I think Akers will also. Just a feeling...

It's on down a bit but Tennessee is mentioned as "coming as well". There are slants with all of these articles, however. This one definitely slanted toward Florida State. Jimbo Fisher is mentioned as being the most prominent to visit him.

Wait so both Smith and Akers are an EE? Wouldn't that mean that Aker's announcement would need to be pretty soon?

Yep. He was set to be an EE and then changed his mind not too long ago but just very recently changed back to wanting to be an EE. And Butch doing his in home visit the other night was very smart now that he's an EE again. Just trying to read some tea leaves with optimism has me thinking Vol.

Well then what's his commitment date? Think I read somewhere on here that it'd be January?
