Why are people so low on Akers? My impression is that we have as good a shot with him as we do with Chandler

You really give UGA a 65% chance to land Gibbs after he has been reported to be all-vol for awhile? So one to two weeks of positive UGA press is all you need to hear to give them a distinct advantage over us?

Recruiting changes daily. My posts would show I had long felt we would get him. Yes, that changed recently as things played out. I really hope we get him, I just think it's turned against us of late.

Securing top talent from Mississippi has always been tough. Would love to see RG help get us a solid footing in the state. We'll see how this one plays out.

Just give me Akers, Smith and Gibbs and I can survive the disappointment (not a bad class at all but what it was hyped up to be) of this class. Still think 10-13 will be our final class ranking.

I might consider 50% for Akers if he was down to just 2 teams. I think there is a couple more still at least a bit in play.

Reality may be its just UT and OSU. With Mississippi kids, I'll usually hold about 10% back at least for the instate schools. I'd usually figure bama in there somewhere as well with MS kids choosing to leave the state. With him already decommitting from them, I'm not this time.

What to think about Gibbs commitment seems to be based on whom to believe. I'm normally a skeptic about these things, but I trust OV more than any other insider on here. Guess I'll choose to believe we're getting Gibbs until proven wrong.

I do too. UGA has played the Gibbs sweepstakes very well so far.

I really hope we land Akers and Chandler. I think that is one of our biggest remaining needs. I feel ok with where we stand with both. Both could get immediately playing time.

If we take 3 and the 3 are Chandler, Akers, and Coleman I think that's pretty good.

Urban Meyer will have at least 1 or 2 "dreams" between now and signing day and from past experiences that doesn't bode well for other schools recruiting the athletes that appear in these "dreams".

The man is a fortune teller. The NCAA should look into his abilities to tell 5* athlete's futures.

Arguably, we are in better shape with Akers at the moment. Gillespie is tight with Akers and close to those in the area. Also, don't forget Chandler is a Ole Miss legacy.

Lose 2-3 to make room and you have me pretty satisfied. That would put us in the top 15, which is good enough for me. I doubt we get all of these guys, but if we were to close out with those 6 it would make for a hell of a finish.
