Nope. Just means we need another RB this cycle. Just like QB, we need one as a back up plan. Ty Chandler is our "RB". If Akers comes on board, great. If not, it's not the end of the world, but we still need another RB.

Very true. I love the way Coleman plays and hope he sticks. Throw in another back and we are set for years to come.

I don't really hear or read fans or insiders from other teams talking about Akers and Tennessee.

Not that I'm a doubter, I just don't hear it from anywhere else

I'm not doubting you necessarily but where do you hear this information? Do you have someone that knows the family or is it another LSU fan board?

He may very well go to FSU but I don't think anyone but he and his family know for sure where this young man is headed.. GBO

Akers is cherry on top for me. I'm perfectly fine with Chandler and Coleman as the two added to Kelly and CFA. Chandler is just as good as Akers IMO he just works his businesses in offseason instead of recruiting camps

If we get him, I will do handstands. But if we don't? I have plenty of faith in the guys we have on campus and coming in. But trying to figure out the numbers this year is a headache.

I think we are taking 3 backs this time. Coleman isn't getting dropped if Akers Commits. We'll add one of the other guys if we miss out on Akers.

I suspect the reason why you have not heard it is not because it does not happen, but because nobody knows anything more than a guess about what he is going to do.

From what I read, Scout thinks we are out of it, 247 thinks we are out of it, Rivals thinks we are in the final 2. What would a reasonable person derive from this? Since Akers has done almost zero interviews, has not openly discussed his recruitment and virtually no information has leaked about his recruitment I would say that nobody has a clear and verifiable knowledge of what he is goig to announce.

I plan to sit back and relax and see what happens next Tuesday.

He's recruited better than expected at UT but isn't a good game day coach. His management of the program has been good in off the field respects but not so much in ways that directly impact winning.... S&C, program attrition, player development, staff selection/management....

What he has proven he can do well simply doesn't add up to championships. What he has struggled with... adds up to mediocre.

Nobody is a championship caliber coach until they win one.

I still think we should have beaten SCAR and Vandy but considering we beat Florida, Georgia, and took TAMU to double OT with 7 freakin turnovers I'd say we did alright. We should have done better but we just ran out of juice.

My understanding is that a coach is permitted one phone call per week. I do not think text messaging is limited and it does not prevent a player from contacting a coach. It is not permitted for a coach to visit a player.
