'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

Dear gracious man. Do I need to post evidence that FSUs program is WAAAAY ahead of ours now?

I mean come on it's obvious

Nope. You're a troll if you think there are programs ahead of ours.

I disagree with a lot of what you say, but this is fact.

Ahhh yes...Fire an entire staff....that will really put us on the forefront again.

Yeah and keeping a staff who blows games we have no business losing with our talent level will get us to the promise land too. Honestly butch probably does deserve another year but he needs some new assistants around imo

JAV on 247 says we are not getting Akers as of right now, but things could change. He thinks FSU leads.

Hard to beat that FSU pitch right now to replace Cook. We lose Hurd and Kamara but Kelly made it known to any newcomers good luck beating me out for that spot with his play late. Although no way Kelly shoulder a man entire load all year that is still one more roadblock that FSU who has nobody at least to public eye

We might still get Akers, but I still think we are ok at RB. CRG can turn a regular rb into a beast. He's by far our best coach imo

Tennessee just paid Dooley his last buyout check. In total, Tennessee paid Dooley's staff and Butch's buyout about 11 million bucks. I doubt they want to get back in the buyout game anytime soon. It would cost them over 10 million for Butch alone. Just not gonna happen guys--not anytime soon.

The issue was brubear using the hyperbolic description "Light Years" ahead of us. Barring injury we are at worst tied with their record this past year, and I think most of us would acknowledge that our record would have been 10-2 without the plague of injury. So how exactly are they "light years" ahead of us? Other than in a few little whiny ***** minds? They are ahead a little, but right now, not four years ago. They only maintained that status for one year, and then slid back to the pack. In the weak ass ACC no less.

The statement used the word "brand". Fsu does have a significant advantage over us. That's a fact many here Apparently are too prideful to admit. Win, bowls, championships, NFL players and any other stat will show FSU is light years ahead in this modern age of football.

Are you too stupid stubborn to admit how hyperbolic using the term "light years" is? You know how big a distance a light year is I assume? It is hyperbole of the worst kind. They are ahead of us right now, but nothing a few years of good football wouldn't make up. "Light years" is the distance between Vandy and Alabama. We are not that far off.

So what is this modern era you are referring to? Post leather helmets? After color television? Since BCS? After Bowden/Fulmer? :dunno:

Even during the glory days of Fulmer FSU had a stronger brand. They had a lull as well but not nearly as deep and long as ours. We can argue all we won't about semantics but their program has won on a national schale in a much bigger way than the Vols have on the last 25-30 years.

We should just pay this kid a lot of money. Our current mediocrity will cover up a few recruiting violations /s (kind of).

Being a realist makes you a troll.

Firing a HC and his entire staff after an 8-4 season (albeit a very disappointing season), with wins against UF and UGA is not being a "realist"; it's a juvenile, knee-jerk reaction.

My goodness, people act like UT has been averaging 10 wins a year with multiple SEC Championships for the past decade. This year was a major disappointment, but it was light years better then what we've seen the past decade.

Now, if Butch goes 6-6 next year, then there should be a change.
