Tommy Thigpen will check in on a number of different linebackers including Will Ignont. Ignont was a heavy Alabama lean last spring but the Tide seemed to have moved on after Ignont didn't pull the trigger. From what we can gather, Tennessee is going to be a serious player for him moving forward.

LSU is still in the mix and Michigan could be as well. But, there seems to be no clear leader as Auburn isn't in the mix as much as well.

We really do need Thig to start doing his Thig again. He has been one of our best recruiters in the not too distant past.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but just heard PFort say on 104.5 that Ignont actually initially reached out to Tennessee. Said he saw that we'd had a rash of injuries at LB and wanted to know if we were still recruiting the position and is very interested in the program. PFort said it's now up to the staff to close the deal with him.

Again, apologies if already mentioned. Just heard this for the first time.

It would be ignont of us to not reach out to Ignont...IMHO

Had not heard this, but it is obviously a very positive sign. I like our chances, if room is available and I would think that it will be.

After beating Georgia and Florida, VFL34 (TS) said that there were some elite prospects reaching out to the coaches...this must be one of them.

I wonder why we are slow on taking him? I mean I know it may be numbers but come on.

That is a very good sign when the recruit comes knocking on your door cause he see's a great opportunity to play early. I am just saying, if he wants to commit how do you not take the guy. And no before you say it, I know he hasn't made it known. Just saying.
