I laughed, but I stopped growing at 14. It sucks. :(. I've seen people keep on growing until their early 20's. I've also seen 18 year olds who are balding.

Believe it or not, Jhop use to post on here.

I think PO likes his style of play. :)

well I was wrong haha

I do like how he plays, though. Seems like he attacks blockers, will come up and make a tackle, and will fight when the ball is in the air. If his listed 5-7 159lbs holds true then that is a major concern.

Certainly fast and athletic but man is he short. I thought they wanted taller CB's. I noticed his height just dropped from 5'9 to 5'7 on 247. Someone over there said he only measured 5'7 at a recent camp/combine.

The way the game is evolving, I think our staff is going after kids that are nickel only type guys. Swafford is one, I see Phillips that way as well. Honestly Payne could have that in his future too. Height isn't as big of a deal when covering mostly short slot guys.

He ain't the Honey Badger.....

He isn't. He may be as good or better though. Obviously the coaches see something (at least for now) that makes them think he will fit their plan. Things could change. It is still two years until he can sign, but for now they believe him to be a take.

Appreciate your insight though BB. You make for a good read. :good!:

Maybe his commitment is contingent on him growing 3-5 inches over the next 2 years. 😏
