'16 TN LB Daniel Bituli (UT commit 7/18/15)

" I believe if Bituli wanted to commit right now he's a take. Obviously, everything is fluid. The kid is big. He's 6-4, 230 pounds right now."

- Hubbs

Even with some of the negative assessments of Bituli that I've read in this thread (from some posters that I do respect), I can't imagine that we wouldn't take a commitment from him right now.

At the end of the day the staff will take who they fee can play. They will listen to outside opinions buts it's their choice at end of the day. They have done pretty well with LB evals so far so I can't complain. He looks good to me but I do worry about the competition factor.

I just don't see Butch not taking the #1 kid in the state.

This. Even if he isn't as good as the 3rd best player last year. Keeps the in state commits coming. Plus, no one expected Barnett to have the season he did. You never know. So I trust Butch and his team's scouting.

He doesn't have the mean killer instinctive some other kids. He is a great athlete but doesn't have the mindset. Never has.

That's been my rub from the beginning and its still the same today. If he had the "dog" in him, it would be different.

I'm not sure this kid can play OLB here, but he's a solid WDE/LEO DE prospect. This kid can play. He has the speed to contain the edge as a DE, and he has the frame to add 25-30 pounds easy. I'd be shocked if CBJ didn't take this kid.
