Guys let me reiterate my stance on Bitulli. This kid is built like none other and from 1st glance looks beautiful. My thing is in the level of competition he plays aka lil boy ball, he should dominate ala Troy Flemming style. He doe not do this. I have a little cousin on his team and as a true freshman took some of the carries away from Bituli. Bituli is a very good wrestler and kid, but I'm just not impressed with the kid on the football field. Google Troy Flemming high school stats at BGA and that's the way your supposed to look if you're a true dawg playing in 1A football. I pointed this out to Thig too. This staff has looked at things a little different after that was bought to their attention. I'll also say this He's not better than Tyrel Dodson or Tim Hart either.

He will not finish #1 in state after Joejuan went to the Open and put on a display. Have you all ever wondered why Bituli doesn't go camping like most of the elite players in the country. LOL I'll let yawl figure that out.

Just to clarify. The linebackers coach at UT and recruiting manager for the mid state took a step back because you brought to their attention his classification?

VQ said in the War Room that Bituli will be on campus this weekend for camp. They said that's gotta be a good sign for the Vols. They're hearing he could possibly do something this weekend, but they've heard that several times already with Bituli. Possibly one to watch the next few days.

After what de1 said, I'm guessing the coaches told him that his offer isn't commitable, unless he camps and shows what he can do against good competition.

Article up on VQ. Vols are far and away the leader. He didn't work out at the camp. He brought his parents and they toured the whole campus. He talked to Hurd and exchanged cell numbers with Josh Malone.

He said he doesn't want to wait too long for a decision. The vibe I got, is that he's gonna go home talk it over with his parents and then commit to UT in short order. And that's if he's a take. He said he'll be back in the Fall to catch a game. VQ listed him at 6'3 and 230 lbs.

UT definitely in the driver seat here.

Even with some of the negative assessments of Bituli that I've read in this thread (from some posters that I do respect), I can't imagine that we wouldn't take a commitment from him right now.
