'16 TN LB Daniel Bituli (UT commit 7/18/15)

Nashville Christian School linebacker Daniel Bituli has early offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Louisville and Western Kentucky early on in the 2016 prospect's recruitment but many more schools are very interested in the 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive playmaker.

"I talked to the Tennessee coaches down in Knoxville and they talked to me about the amount of potential I have and how good I can be and that motivated me to step my game up and be what they think I will be," Bituli said. "I love the coaches there and I'd love to play for an D-1 college."

Along with the four offers, Bituli said he's hearing from Southern Cal, South Carolina, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Clemson and several others.

Bituli said what sets him apart from other linebackers is his fierce competitiveness. "I hate when people break tackles from me. I obviously love hitting and I love getting my guys hype and I love getting them going with me," Bituli said.

Has great size. Saw him at the 7v7 against CPA, he looks the part. Very promising athlete. Gotta get him on board.

Article from a couple weeks ago on 247 saying Ole Miss is his leader.

Would be a surprise if that were the case. Looking at his 247 profile, it sure looks like UT is in good shape. He's visited UT(not ole mis), was offered by UT earlier. Plus UT coaches have been to see him since.

IMO, we get him if the staff really wants him.

LSU has offered 2016 athlete Daniel Bituli out of Nashville (Tenn.) Christian School. Bituli is a 6-3, 223-pounder that plays both running back and linebacker for his high school team but LSU is recruiting him as a linebacker. The offer came from defensive coordinator John Chavis.

LSU adds to Bituli's offer list that includes Tennessee, Ole Miss and Louisville. Already Tennessee and Ole Miss have Crystal Ball predictions from national experts.

A physically freakish prospect, Bituli is currently ranked by 247Sports as the No. 9 outside linebacker in the country.

I would love for a kid with this kind of size and ability to come rush the passer for the good guys until 2019.

Chavis knows his LBs for the most part except for the WILLIS brain fart. That had more to do with brooks wanting to be lone linebacker than talent eval

Also no one knows for sure if Willis would have become that kind if linebacker without the chip on his shoulder if getting snubbed by UT. Dude plays angry about it to this day.

Everybody whiffed on Willis. Ole Miss took him after UT offered him to walk on a year and earn a scholarship. Ole Miss had a scholarship left and UT referred him to Cut and they took the chance. It was the only D1 offer he got. What nobody took into account was his heart and how hard he would work. He didn't have elite speed when he came out of HS but literally worked his tail off.

That is what you call a miss in recruiting right there

Ahh, the good ole intangibles that just can't be measured at camps.
