The jury was still out on his recruiting, but DT was a very good bench coach. The people who say otherwise just point to his losses. Depending on personnel (which wasn't great), there is more to it than just winning and losing.

He's going to Vandy. His coach will push him that way regardless of what they say about "letting him have his own decision." Unless something drastic changes then he will go be a fighting Stalling.

Also I trust Barnes to find the right players for his staff and for this university.

I trust him as well. You would still like to get a top player from the state though.

So we've still got all of June to make up. Don't our evaluations days or recruiting days "start over" at the end of May?

Drew Maddux does not push kids to Vandy for Stallings from my understanding.

Push is probably bad wording. The reality is like what BTO said. We have our days back in the summer and we will start to use them like crazy. Like before I trust Barnes to bring us the players he wants. Hope we get him

No offense, but this is an uninformed opinion. Maddux hasn't pushed any of his kids to Vandy, and quite honestly, from my understanding, doesn't even really care much for Stallings. Certainly not enough to intentionally steer kids towards his program.

Maddux does not care too much for Stallings. It is the way he treats the kids on and off the court. Blackwell will not end up at Vandy. The think is we are and have been handcuffed by the lack of evaluation time that we can spend on the road and that starts over in July I believe and I will double check that to be sure. Braxton has been told he is and will be a priority for this class. Once our evaluation clock turns over you will see a heavy presence at CPA by CRB and Co. Just be patient and I have a good feeling that this recruitment will swing heavily in our favor once we can get on the road more often.

May have jumped the gun but we shall see. CRB will have more to worry about besides Vandy if Blackwell keeps playing as he does. Sorry boys

Edit: clarification of "he" as Blackwell. Dude is playing very well right now

After being let go at Texas, Rick Barnes wasn't out of work long as Tennessee quickly made him their new basketball coach. His track record impresses Blackwell.

"Coach Barnes is a great coach. He knows how to win and I think he'll do a great job at Tennessee. His staff is also really nice and really cool."
