'16 TN ATH Gabe Angel

If he has a major growth spurt over the next three years and grows 3 to 4 inches, he could easily end up at DE.

"He had a good season. I think Gabe's ceiling is highest as a defensive player or at TE/HB instead of running back.

He looks comfortable catching the ball and is already 6-3, 220 and may not be explosive enough at running back.

Great athlete for his size I think."

Dip Sh_t!

Why you bashing font all he said was the kid might not be explosive enough to play running back and to be honest I've seen the kid play in person he might be a two steps to slow but he's young and His speed can increase

Referring to Fortenberry. I absolutely love this kid. I think he can play RB. We'll see how it plays out. A lot of folks think J. Hurd can't play RB.

From what I've seen, it appears the coaches at WCHS don't really know how to utilize him, you got any thoughts on what's going on?

If I said I did I would be lying. Common wisdom says that with an athlete like this, you play him at QB and let the college coaches figure it out. Frankly, he's the best player at every position you put out there on Friday night. FS & RB would be good for now.

One thing I know for sure is the coaches seem content on keeping him at or below 5 touches a game. Might also explain their short, albeit infrequent, playoff runs.

Sounds about right. I dont see him being a RB in college either. Also, Vandy lock.

We usually see eye-to-eye on things, especially dealing with mid-state athletes.

And this situation is no different. He's all Vandy.

Edit: But, I will say, it's a long time 'til 2016. We have a better shot at this kid than Josh Smith per se.

Disagree with the edit.

This is the kind of kid who if he doesnt go to Vandy it will be one of those things where the family likely says "Okay, you can go anywhere but Tennessee."

I dont think they will get Smith either, but I think he'd actually like to be a Vol. It just sucks for him that he is basically going to be forced to go to Vandy because of where he falls in line age-wise in his family and his brother wanting to play DB or something to that affect will dictate his college decision.

I think so too! Didn't like 5 NFL teams all fire their coach today? Most likely PSU HC O'Brien (sp) takes one of those and Franklin surely won't turn that down.
I honestly think BOB stays. I think he's serious about being the next great PSU coach. It might be BS like a lot coaches spew though.

The stuff about him negotiating down his buyout if he goes NFL is what has me believing. But yeah, who knows.

I've seen a lot of reports that he is close to getting a contract signed with the Texans. Look to see him sign with the Texans some time in the next week.
