This isn't true, actually.

I remember AK made some calls, but I don't remember him ever being quite as vocal or as busy as JG has been thus far. I'm definitely excited about all the on field stuff with JG, but he's a natural leader and it does seem guys gravitate toward him. I can't wait for JG to be in Knoxville.

Anyone know who the other 5 QBs already invited to the Elite 11 are? I hope Austin Kendall will be one. Would like to see him and JG competing against each other.

It's the 5 guys Saban will be trying out in late July...winner gets a scholarship offer.

Well butch has said his offense can be run with a pro style QB or a DT. And by pro style offense I mean more runs out of shotgun that have pro style blocking schemes. I honestly think DeBord will help our OL a whole lot.

Also he wants to play good football teams. Not the JV squads of the Big Ten

I'm not talking about what Butch's offense needs but commenting that you insinuate JG is more pro style than Kendall, which is contrary to how I've heard them described.

Side note, I'm not sure anyone calls the shotgun formation as a pro style but that's another discussion, completely.

But we do agree, JG gonna be a beast here. :)

I guess the disagreement is the term Pro style vs Dual threat. A true dual threat QB is a guy like TG. JG falls between the two and I agree that AK is a pro style QB but I also think JG is as well. JG has wheels but he has great arm and doesn't need to run to make plays. He can pass very well. Not to mention he has ties to NJ.

I'm pretty sure Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would call the shotgun formation pro-style.

Shotgun formation is absolutely included under the broad canopy of a pro-style offense. The term "pro-style" deals more with the complexity of the offense rather than formation.

This is true and I mis-typed a bit with that. Was meaning more the concepts of read option from the shotgun but it's true that pro style encompasses philosophies and schemes rather than just formation.

I wonder who has the stronger arm between JG and Dormady. Crazy arm talent will be on campus soon.

My guess would be JG, but probably not by much. At the RCS camp in Atlanta, AK won the Perfect Spiral award, while JG won the Rocket Arm award. Both of these young men are going to be outstanding college QBs.

Don't just forget about Rivals100 quarterback Jarrett Guarantano's commitment to Tennessee. The Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic star is one of the more popular players in the 2016 class and he is using that to help recruit playmakers to Knoxville. New Jersey native Rivals100 wide receiver Ahmir Mitchell is one of his main targets, along with five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary. Keep an eye on some of the nation's best wide receivers and offensive linemen, because Guarantano is making it his mission to help Tennessee build a strong class.

Told yall. He was contacting commits and targets even before his public commitment to UT.

Kid is special and a leader.

It would really be something if he was able to Get Walker and/or Gary to come here.

Will Guarantano be an EE? It would be big to have him on campus in January for official visits.

I'm not program connected like I was several years back. I'm just coach connected with several current and former NCAA coaches.

There are several people on here that have good connections to this staff and probably could answer.

I was mostly wondering if it was commonly known yet or if I was just out of the loop. Looks like nobody's quite sure yet I guess.
