'16 NJ QB Jarrett Guarantano (Vols commit 4/15/2015)

Word is his visit went very well. Apparently he loved both learning about the football program and the academic program. Parents are very methodical and spent quite awhile asking questions to the academic counselors and apparently mom was "more than pleased" and pops felt the same. Heard from a very reliable source. I'm not sure if he's still on campus (if anyone can verify, I'd be interested to know).

Visit went as good if not better than we could of hoped. If Kendall doesn't commit in the next few months, I really like our chances here.

I watched film on both and personally like AK's film better. The problem is this is sophomore film and you have no way of knowing how they will develop over the next 2 years. Both have really nice film and I really like JG's potential for growth with his current frame. I really wish there was film on both of them camping or 7 on 7's from this summer since it looks like either could be close to pulling the trigger.

Just watched his film. He and Kendall both look to be elite talents. IMO Kendall is more elusive and maybe a little more accurate. But this guys arm strength is the real deal. One throw in his highlight was a 50 yd rope right on the money. I will gladly take either.

Not enough film yet on Jarrett to really judge him completely. I have noticed a lot of posts saying they like Kendalls film better but competition level does play a huge factor in that. The teams Jarrett are going up against have D-1 talent in every game and most are well coached. Will probably play against 4-6 teams ranked in the HS top 100 this season. Lets see how he does this season to fully gauge his talent.

I like Guarantano a little more. Last time we tookca QB for North Carolina that played suspect competition it was Jonathon Crompton. Thats what worries me about Kendall

What about Heath Shuler? How'd that work out?

Worked out pretty well wasnt thinking of him. Still like guarantano more than kendall,

Cool. I like Kendall better. Be interesting to watch their development this year. One or both could blow up

Kendall has the better stats but something tells me that the competition that guarantano plays well help him big time. I would love to have either one.

Crompton's deficiencies had nothing to do with his high school competition

It may not have but it sure didnt help him. I would rather take a kid when it comes to qb that has played the type of competition that guarantano plays then kendall. I think it makes them better prepared for college

To an extent. Crompton clearly suffered from a constant change in coaching coaching. That was his biggest issue, along with his mental attributes
