Why in the hell would our coaches call deep ball plays if they know the quarterback most likely isn't going to hit no where near the receiver?
I am not a football expert, but they need to get a little better with calling the pass plays that Dobbs can throw. He throws a great ball down the middle- hitches, skinny posts, seams. His inaccuracies are deep with a flat ball. They need to run some verticals just to loosen up the defense.
If Dobbs could just hit 5-8% more of his passes, then the offense could be unstoppable. Even if he hit one or two more deep balls, we could have another win or two. I hope the staff learned from the first 4 games this year and tweaks it a bit. Next year could be special.
That WR group would be more than underwhelming. That's flat-out terrible.
