Auburn: the place where elite defensive players go to disappear. I'm sure next year when they have another terrible Defense people will mention how they don't have much talent still, but that's a lie. They just aren't good at defense under Malzahn.

Going to be bummed to lose this one to Auburn with more going in our favor.
Need, Shoop vs Steele, Gus's seat is hotter, Strip actually gets his talent to produce better than Gardner does, etc

Have we ever beat this dildo Garner? Always snaking guys at UGA and now Auburn from us. He isn't even a good coach. He is a recruiter/bagman. His player underachieve

He landed us tons of big time players while here.

I also heard he used to carry around a briefcase full reasons to commit.

If he indeed chooses Auburn, he'll be tethering himself to a sinking ship. Without Brown our trajectory doesn't change. I'll bet he never plays for a conference championship and I bet CGM is gone by then end of his sophomore season.

def not playing for a conference title as long as BAMA, Ole Miss and LSU are in that league. Atleast not anytime soon.

i call horseshat, with no first hand knowledge of the situation whatsoever, but i'm still calling it... so

Thank you. I am so sick of reading the bs people portray as fact. The only facts as far as I know are:
Brown has repeatedly said he speaks only to his parents about his recruitment.
He says anyone claiming to know anything about where he is going are speculating because see line 1, he is only talking to his parents. So all of the "experts" & "insiders" are full of shizz when they say hes a lean anywhere because again see line 1

He shut down all communication Thursday other than a few tweets so no one has spoke to him since he left here & according to players & coaches he had a great time here.

He said after our visit he would break down everything with his parents & only then would he make a decision. Now this is very tell tell to me. Clearly his parents are very central to his decision making. After going home & being with his parents all day talking about his future, he sends out a tweet of himself with his family in the locker w coach strip & the caption Rocky Top you'll always be home sweet home to me. Now many have said this means nothing & maybe not. But clearly Brown is very calculating & keeps everything close to the vest when it comes to his future. so why do you send this out some 12 hrs after you leave & have obviously talked all day to your parents, why include the most influential people in your life in the photo along with the person who would be taking over that role in the future. Why include home sweet home to me, why not just Rocky Top or nothing at all just the picture? And then he goes dark again so no one can ask. Again hes closed lipped but does this 48hrs before signing day? 1hr before the dead period? Few recruits include even 1 parent much less their family. He knew exactly how that photo would be perceived by vol fans & coaches & he waited til it was too late for any coaches to call him & he put it out just b4 dead period. No hes a Vol IMO & I have thought he & his family have felt that way for a while. Parents that are that involved are usually high character people & the Rodney garners of the world can't buy those people. Brown, Kongbo, Warrior & Byrd. Mark it Down

That was well thought out. Glad you cracked that mystery. Any way you can help me find my keys?

First Auburn pulls in Kyle Davis. Now signs are pointing to Brown going there as well. It's hard to see a 5 star kid wanting to go there given the current situation without any outside influence.

NSD. The bringer of maximum childish butt hurt.

Good luck to the kid. No surprise if it's Auburn. They were always the likely spot.

I knew UTs DT class last year was loaded with McKenzie, Tuttle, abd Picou. I figured I'd look to see who AU signed last class as I could see that as a possible impact on Brown and playing time. AU took 2 DTs. One was a 3* HS kid rated #31. The other was a 3* Juco kid rated #10DT.

He could likely see more playing time earlier at AU.

Some kids probably deserve some of what they get, because of the way they handle their recruitment.......Brown is absolutely not one of them though.

Unfortunately, you are right. If it's Auburn, tomorrow will be a sad, sad day in this thread. It will be embarrassing.

It doesn't sound very good right now, but who knows. Crazier things have happened. Either way we're more than okay on the field for next season and probably 17, too. If Brown doesn't bite we'll just have to reload with some big time DT recruits in 17 and 18. It's a good thing we seem to have luck getting the good JUCO players because we may have to keep going to that well.

I thought i saw earlier brown liked the fact we had talent inside because he could rotate and play fresh. Who knows.

You guys need to stfu about Auburn possibly using $$$ to influence Brown and his family. He and his family have handled this entire process with immense integrity, and if he does choose Auburn it's because he along with his family made the decision that it was the right place for him. Please hold off on your moral judgements about a person you know nothing about only to make yourself feel somewhat better. You give yourself a bad name, and most importantly, make all of us VOL fans look like some dumba$$ hillbillies.

Best of luck Derrick, whatever you decision may be.
