They're predictions. No one knows for sure where recruits will land. I don't give a crap who it's for.

I agree with you. But there are some guys on here that say it's a done deal when we receive some predictions but at the same time call the analysts morons if they predict for another school

Welcome to Volnation. Of course we want every recruit to come to Tennessee, especially if it's a highly touted recruit like Brown. I just think it's silly to make a prediction to Auburn when he has even took his last official visit to Tennessee yet. Pretty sure that's what they're upset over.

Fortenberry just posted an update and says that Auburn feels good about their chances, but Tennessee has a huge opportunity this weekend. He hasn't silently committed anywhere or anything like that.

I think we land this kid and finish with him, Warrior, and Byrd.

Did he say that? I thought he grew up a Miss St fan because his parents are alums and that's his home state.

I read on a Home Depot message board that Brown actually grew up a ceiling fan. A growth spurt and some non load bearing joists put an end to that dream.

Sounds like he might be a UT fan now. Who knows how it will end up, but his whole family coming this weekend with nice weather and other top recruits in the house tees it up for UT. It feels like Brown wants to be a Vol and just needs to feel at home.

Still wide open,” the 6-foot-4, 320-pound defensive tackle told SEC about his recruitment on Wednesday.

That has to be considered good news for Tennessee, where Brown will take his final official visit this weekend. The nation’s No. 4 defensive tackle and top prospect in Georgia has been strongly tied with nearly every other school in his recruitment.

Mississippi State seemed to have the early lead in Brown’s recruitment since his parents are former Bulldogs. Then, Alabama seemed to take a lead after his official visit on Dec. 12, as Brown was often seen in Crimson Tide gear. Auburn is the latest school that seems to have caught fire as some prognosticators seem to think Brown could end up a Tiger. Brown just laughs the speculation off.

“I feel like people are trying to guess and see where I’m going,” the five-star prospect said, “but they’ll see where I’m going Wednesday

Talked with a friend today who is an Auburn booster and pretty clued in with their recruiting. He is a bit of a homer, but he is also a pretty pragmatic guy. He said that Auburn is banking heavily on Garner's relationship with Brown in this recruitment, but they are VERY concerned about our having the last visit. His statement to me was that he thinks it is probable Brown commits to UT over the visit, and that he (my friend) is banking on Garner switching him back between Sunday and Wednesday. He actually used the phrase "banking on" Garner, which I, naturally, asked how much my friend was depositing with that "bank." :)

Anyway, point is, I think Auburn is scared of us having the last visit, and that makes me happy. :)

Auburn, where ATM's are a simple handshake away. :) Need to land another top recruit, like Cam Newton? Just shake hands with one of our friendly pastors.

Lol, I give my friend a hard time about it, and he takes it in good fun. To be clear though, he is a legit booster and not a bagman.

Garner is still definitely something for us to be concerned about, but I have faith in CBJ and the staff. This one will be wild until the very end, I think.
