I'm curious to know how highly ranked those OL and WR's are.

I bet there is at least one that is a five star in one service or another.

You sound like Nationdom. I don't care how highly ranked any of them are. I witnessed the OL get beat with my own eyes. Having a certain number of shapes beside someone's name doesn't mean you can argue something that clearly happened.

I think his point was that the ratings obviously didn't reflect the linemen's skills and abilities. He assumes (reasonably) that the players were highly rated and observed that their performance did not match the high, all-American label. He made an excellent point that I think you agree with.

He was on that oline at the UA AA game if that's what you're asking. People said he was the best looking OL on the line, but that could be homers being optimistic. Personally, I think he'll be a great addition to our class

None of the offensive linemen looked great in the game and everyone knew they wouldn't ahead of time. ESPN even had an article talking about the rules for the game.

Defensive linemen should shine all week at the Under Armour All-America Game, while linebackers are forced to adjust

"The restrictions allow players to not have to think too much and just play, but the rules can also limit what some players can do. This situation puts the offensive linemen at a disadvantage because the time and reps needed to properly jell and get communication down is just not there, while defensive linemen get to do what is a little more natural. Whether it be one-on-ones in practice or rushing the passer in the game, look for players like William Gholston (Detroit, Mich./Southeastern), Corey Miller (Duncan, S.C./Byrnes) and Adrian Hubbard (Norcross, Ga.) on the outside, as well as Taylor Bible (Denton, Texas/Guyer) and George Uko (Chino, Calif./Don Antonio Lugo) on the inside to have strong showings in passing situations. These players will have less to think about and will get a lot of opportunities to work one-on-one versus blockers."

Anybody going up against Gary in that game was getting dominated. Didn't matter who it was. Future NFL star.

Wow...article from 2009! That is some serious digging on your part...GJBY

BTW, Corey Miller dominated that game...too bad it never translated to college.

The point I was making was that the rules benefit the defensive linemen. The article I found was the easiest documentation of those rules.

Would like to see Warrior commit by the 28-29th. Having a silent commit recruit for you is one thing. Warrior having gone public is even better on the 29th trying to help secure Brown to the Vols.

:good!:

Ryan Bartow from 247 was doing a interview on Xm on college sports nation. He said Warrior to Bama or LSU and the Vols were 3rd.

Doesn't Bartow mostly just cover the recruitment of players in the state of Florida? I doubt Warrior has given him any more info than he has anyone else. He has been tight lipped throughout the process and we are all just reading tea leaves here. Bartow is just looking at his last three visits and placing them in order from who he respects the most to the least. He has no clue - none of us really do.

LSU would be really surprising as he doesn't want to be too far away from his mother.

He really likes Nick Saban and has always liked Alabama so I could definitely see him ending up there. Remember, we've said for a while now this weekend will be huge for Warrior. Can he and Pruitt get along? If it goes well, they could be tough to beat.

But, right now, I don't know that Tennessee is third. No one has told me that.

LSU does have an incredible recent history with defensive backs and he did just visit there but that's too out of the blue for me to believe.

A million bucks says Pruitt blames his recruitment while at UGA on Richt.
