I have some coworkers that are Auburn fans...they are worse than bama fans...imo

It has everything to do with Bryce Pearl. As Bruce's evil twin he set in motion the issues we are still dealing with in our basketball program today. Bryce convinced Bruce to have a BBQ. And Bryce is the one that lied about not having it. So there is a lot of animosity toward Bryce from our end IMO.

Well sir, I respectfully, yet vehemently disagree that hating Auburn is dumb. I graduated from that wretched hell hole. I witnessed their villainous treachery first hand, and am more qualified to hate them than most. Auburn fans are like a hybrid of the pretentious pomposity of Bama fans and the 'delusions of grandeur' that Dawg fans suffer from.

No, they aren't as bad overall as Bama fans, those obnoxious a**holes are impossible to top, but they are approaching that magnitude of narcissism. I think the Bammers drag them down to their level when the s*** flinging begins, and let's be honest, when the s*** starts to fly, everyone loses, including innocent bystanders. Nobody wins, and everyone just ends up covered in feces.

I get a lot of, "Why would you cheer for Tennessee?" with the most condescending 'are you crazy' look you can imagine. I'm just like, "You guys do realize that their is a world out there other than this godforsaken state, which along with MS, is basically the poster-child of a terrible state". To which you will get the typically predictable 'Roll Tide/War Eagle'-'yeah but we are better at football' response.

Also, while you continue to cheer for Auburn for apparent misguided reasons, do realize that we haven't beaten them this century, and we recruit against them on a daily basis.

I went to the AU USF game a few years back and sat in fully catered club level seats. I wore a cheap AU tshirt out of respect for my AU buddy and a UT visor. The level of confusion was priceless and USF won. On top of drinking and eating free until I was stuffed. A good day all in all.

Having spent part of my 20's between Tampa and Orlando I can also attest to the fact that the scenery at USF is quite intriguing as well.
