The first thing I like about Johnson is that he just seems very smooth on film. He has a great pair of hands and while his athleticism isn't off the charts, he just seems very solid. He can make catches over the top, he can make them in the middle of the field in traffic, he just does a lot of things well.
He reminds me of Kevin Norwood from Alabama a few years ago. Just a very solid playmaker in the midst of a nice receiving corps. Johnson should be able to provide Tennessee with more depth at the wide receiver position and with a good work ethic it's easy to see him meshing with wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni.
Johnson also adds another receiver that's around 6-foot-2, as the Vols continue to get taller and bigger at that position. (Read Brent's story about that here.)
With Jauan Jennings, Preston Williams, Josh Malone and Jeff George all expected around several more years, it's another strong pickup that fits a need for Tennessee.
