'16 FL CB Tyler Byrd (UT Commit 2/2/16)

His HC is working with UM to keep TB from visiting. According to one of UM few insiders, staff is working the Tim Hart angle. Supposedly HC reached out to Hart's HC to get his side of everything. TFWIW if he doesn't visit this was probably the reason.

I can't see any of this working. Based on things on Twitter, its looking like Miami is looking more and more toxic from his point of view and this might add to it. I can deff see him and his family being like f it, we're going to Tennessee.

Kid will still visit. This is a very weak angle, and I feel he is dead set on visiting here.

For the best Tyler. Stick with Miami! They will set you up with boats and hoes!"

Just realized on ESPN he's rated the #1 ATH and #35 player player overall. Going to be some good pub on ESPN come signing day if we do indeed flip him

While the Hart situation was a mess and something I'd rather never see happen, not sure how it relates to Byrd at all. Are they saying Butch will take his commitment and then drop him in that 22 hrs before signing? Now if Byrd was rated or thought of like say Woods, I could see the concern. I just don't know what they would be selling to Byrd while pointing to Hart.

Interesting. Didn't Mark Richt blow off CFA when he took a visit to Athens? Doesnt CFA play at Naples also?

Why push 1 kid to UM to a coach that blew off one of your star players because a coach in Knoxville asked another kid in Memphis to blueshirt?

Doesn't add up. Appreciate the info HG.

I'm wondering why his high school coach would burn a bridge with a college and a recruiter (Scott) that could be a good avenue for him in the future.

I've got home team and all that, but just sounds really stupid to me.

I honestly don't see how we don't get Byrd. I believe we get him. There is to much in our favor for him to go to Miami.

First of all, when you look at the stands during one of their games, it's up for debate if UM even has insiders.

Secondly (and related to the above comment), isn't there a NCAA rule that you're not allowed insiders if your average attendance is less than 2,000 fans per game?

Lastly, HG, please stop bringing your bucket of ice water to all our meetings. :)

If what you said is true that shows how underhanded Miami is. Literally every school could do that. I don't see how that is OK with the NCAA.

So is this stuff 100% or is it usual "insider" banter which has somewhat of a basis in reality, but doesn't usually highlight the entire truth of the situation?

HS coaches don't burn bridges. Until inhome contact they are the gate keepers. His coach wouldn't let other schools come by Naples to visit committed players unless the got permission first. Just one of those coaches.

All true. Just thought I would chime in since the "if he makes visit" stuff was mentioned.

Interesting

I guess Vq wasn't just being Vq when they posted "if he visits" last night

Hopefully, someone has alerted the staff to this so that they can prepare a response if need be.
