Good talk this morning with @King_Kongbo , follow your heart and trust in God as he leads you on your journey
So....not trying to stoke the fire on any rumors, but didn't someone in here say that one of our coaches called Kongbo Sr a bastard? I can't find anything else to support that but in all honesty I would probably pressure my kid to go elsewhere under those circumstances. An ambassador of UT should know better. However if Tennessee is what Kongbo wants he will find a way regardless Imo
Love the effort from TK2, but this sounds like a "goodbye and good luck" kind of message, unless: 1) Kongbo really was still undecided this morning and TK's trying to get him to overrule his parents; or 2) they're building up drama for the announcement.
What time is Kongbo announcing?
Yes. Last year's rivals avg was around 3.67.....this year we're at 3.45
as someone who grew up in the great state of Mississippi, you can kiss my a$$. talk about ignorant.... stfu.
Compared to the last couple of years, yes it's a C. No highschool DT. No DE, although many think Bitulli will grow into that position. It's a middle of the SEC pack class. There's multiple reasons for it and while I'm slightly disappointed I'm excited for what we did get.
Let me put it this way. If we had this type of class for several years in as row, our talent level would drop to any middle pack SEC team. If we're going to be in the hunt for a playoff birth each year and in contention for the east every year, you can't have multiple down years in recruiting.
Here's the thing though: fans call this a 'down year' because that's what the recruiting services tell them, but we don't actually know what the staff thinks of the class they've put together.
We know that they have a big board that looks considerably different than the Rivals board. And we also know that they have priorities that sometimes override any 'ranking' a kid may have. Case in point: Dickerson. Rivals sees a team that lost on a top 100 guy in Dickerson but picked up a 2* in Williams, but the truth may be that the staff felt Williams was the more important signee because he addressed a greater need.
So while we're sitting over here in muted celebration because the recruiting sites tell us that the class is 'good, not great'... the staff may be very pleased with this class. Not only do they have their own system of evaluation, but they also have the benefit of context - fans think in terms of stars, but they think in terms of skillsets that they need to add and holes that they need to fill.
I don't disagree with that but that's all we have to go on. If we signed the #1 class everyone would be touting how great we did. They wouldn't be down playing it saying this class isn't that great because the recruiting services said it is. You can't say it's valid when you do great and it's not valid when you don't.Here's the thing though: fans call this a 'down year' because that's what the recruiting services tell them, but we don't actually know what the staff thinks of the class they've put together.

Way to many happy faces in the war room smiling ear to ear and shaking hands for Kongbo to have decided Ole Miss IMO.
Butch looks like he just was told some good news, very happy ear to ear smile on his face.
