It's kind of blowing my mind when I see people say we don't "need" Kongbo.

Depth is the reason we're not on an elite level yet. After Barnett & Vereen leave this year, we'll have Phillips, Taylor, & Mixon. I'm confused why we don't need Kongbo?

This exactly. HE can be awarded a scholarship without signing a LOI.

Is it possible that this could be good for us? As in, the family is trying to talk him out of making a bad decision (like attending Ole Miss). Obviously, this is pure speculation, but I think that his father is getting in his ear because he found out about Ole Miss offering money and he doesn't want to jeopardize his son's education by associating with bag men who could ruin his future.

It's ok if you're laughing at my post. I just think there's more to this than theatrics and drama. I feel like his family takes his future very seriously and they're holding off to make sure this is the right decision and thing to do.

Why do you say that?? Its every bit just as likely that the parents want Ole Miss and he wants UT but doesn't want to disappoint the parents. IDK what the culture is like in the Congo but this decision may be completely out of his hands.
