What amuses me is that this guy actually believes that Butch Jones did this. I think Butch ha more important things to do than to have a recruit string 7 other programs along. Especially the ultimate 4 involved.

What does it buy him?

Don't buy the story one bit but if it's true I don't want this kid anywhere near knoxville

If the kid has been willing to lie to this many people for that long he's not what we need.


What was the kid we were so proud of for lying to CUM and made a secret visit? He turned out to be a great player on the field and even better man off it

Not to mention it would be a HELL of a risk to say to your 5 star recruit, "Hey, I know you are committed to Tennessee, but you should also take visits to 3 schools with excellent recruiting staffs just to totally **** with them". If you really think about how absurdly ridiculous that sounds, it becomes pretty obvious that that isn't even close to what happened...but, ya know, whatever helps USC fans laugh through the tears and think that we didn't just punk that ass.

If he lied, this says he did so at Butchs instruction. If this is true then he is a team player before he is even on the team.

Think about this: the Buckeyes assistant coach tweets about Callaway's decision, Miami fans are pissed at Byrd leaving and saying our program sucks, and USC now says Butch is shady. Those are 3 historical programs.

That is a hell of a week...and means we are relevant again. Kudos to Butch!

I don't think a lot of people do, its just that everyone is excited that he is likely ours and the story is completely absurd. I actually think you are right, he's just a good kid that didn't want to disappoint anyone.

Anybody on a usc board talking about illegal tactics is a bad joke. How about the Dawson kid from Kentucky a few years ago, he signs with USC out of the freakin blue on signing day. This type of stuff happens, players change their minds some of them change them every time the wind blows. It's also a big decision, fans get butthurt when they come up on the short end of things and then hurl accusations to make them feel better. GO VOLS!!!!!

I'm sure our staff want him visiting USC, Florida St etc? Thinking that is absurd
