I agree. Seems to me like this one is starting to lean towards the good guys. He's eliminated Bama and may cancel his FSU visit. He has not yet scheduled a visit to Washington. Seems to me like if he had to sign today the destination would be UT.

Hard not to think we are leading if using logic. However the kids actions have been hard to figure but maybe some of that weren't in his control

I get the feeling he wants to come to the Vols but the family is nervous about the distance and Butch is trying to ease their concerns by getting the Bitulli's involved.

What actions? Seems to me like he jumped the gun on committing. His family wanted him to decommit if he was gonna go on other visits and be open. Sounds to me like the right thing to do.

Bama had an in home and tried to jerk the kid around is what it sounds like to me. The kid sniffed it out and eliminated them.

It's a huge decision. He needs to look at all of his options. I know for fact Butch encourages kids to take trips and do what's best for the kid. He knows Tennessee has a ton to offer and isn't worried about those other schools.

Not really.

Kongbo likes Tennessee and has us as his first choice but wants to see what else is out there. Family feels this is the wrong way to do things and says decommit if you're still gonna flirt with other teams. Kongbo complies. Keeps flirting. But realizes we're still the best for him.

Now it's all about making the family comfortable with the decision.

They didn't pull the plug on him. You're trying to paint a picture that there's something wrong with this kid and there's not.

Bama doesn't really need a juco DE and Kongbo knows it. Saban literally just finished the in home. They didn't stop recruiting him. I guarantee you they won't stop coming for this kid.

Guess it would be illegal to stop by Nashville on the way to Kongbo's and swoop up Mr. Bituli for the in home wouldn't it???

Haha! I think we will lead comfortably coming out of Butch's in home, it will be about getting him not to got to Washington/SC/Oregon that last weekend.

This is just my take.....

Bama didn't pass on a 5* DE. They need a HS 5* DE more and wanted to push Kongbo back to make a run at HS DE over the next 10 days. This makes sense, especially since they knew they likely weren't the favorite to land him.

Kongbo and his family probably realized this and eliminated Bama.

Bama didn't schedule and in home with Saban and then decide to pass on him a couple of days later.

Pick him up? Probably. Now if he somehow just showed up in Kongbos hometown "waffle house" the same time UT was in town and hungry. Well, things happen.

I think the Bama DE deciding to come back may have factored in as well.

You very easily may me correct but the key point in all this is the kid was planning on taking an OV there and the details were never settled and then Bama canceled the visit. Then we find out the Hs kid is in play Tells me all I need know.

IMO Bama pulled the plug because either they wanted a hs kid more which hubbs suggest and the fact they got good news draft wise this week helps support or they realized they can't get him and moved on.

Bama rescheduled the visit. Kongbo canceled it.

This time last week we thought Bama had a visit scheduled this week. That was shown to be false.

Hubbs stated the kid didn't even know the details

The visit WAS scheduled for this weekend. Bama had the in home and then the visit date got changed. FSU was going to be this weekend and Bama on the 29th. Last night the Kongbos canceled this visit.

And wasn't Petteway or whatever it is, a JUCO too? The one that was kicked out of bama for assaulting a kid at the school, then went JUCO. Only to then be re-recruited by saban and let back in the school. Do I have the right player. Either way, yeah saban could care less where you come from or what you have done for that matter.
