15th D of 16 in SEC

"If we have something to play for."

Boy I hope that's not true. All other injury rehab concerns aside, I sure hope that's not true.
Why? At this level it is more business than anything else. Why would a potential 1st round pick risk reinjuring his knee if we are fighting for citrus bowl vs music city bowl?

There were 2 things that did give me some concern from Saturday:
1. We didn't get a lot of pressure on the QB - would have expected more pressure against UAB
2. They had some receivers absolutely wide open. We were sitting in Z and had a good vantage point and was shocked at how many were open with no one within 5 yards.

Gibson and McCoy being out are definitely hurting us, but we need to get some more pressure if we are to reach our full potential.

I’d say Syracuse and UGA put up legit yards on us but UAB got yards against the scrubs and same with ETSU
Both Angeli for Syracuse and Kitna for UAB are ranked top 5 in total yards. I don't know if that's because they've played our defense or if they are that prolific. Maybe both.

Angeli is/was Legit before Clem took him out. Kitna padded stats against Tenn because Heuple chose to sub midway through the 3rd quarter. Kitna did his damage vs 3rd teamers. Disappointing that we didn't get to see McIntyre in the 4th. But with the heat, I understand. Don't take chances with Msu up.

Our offense is really good. Maybe better than 2022.

Our defense - with these injuries - is bad. Really bad at times. Once we get back some players and get some improvement on defense . . . We could be scary good.
if only we could put together a defense like last year with a good offense... need these things to line up one year and run the table

it will age well. Vandy is extremely mid.
What does that mean to you? It’s too vague to understand so let’s go specific. 8 games left. Who does Vandy beat?

Home vs Utah State
At Bama
H vs LSU
H vs Mizzou
At Texas
H vs Auburn
H vs UK
At Tennessee

I could see 4-4. That puts them 8-4. I’d say that’s better than “mid” but you may see it differently. What say you?

Utah State - W
LSU - L
Mizzou - L
Texas - L
Auburn - L
UK - W
TN - L

8-4 where their wins are FCS school, Bad VTech, Mid USCjr, Bad GA State, Bad Utah State, Bad UK is not a good team

Noted. So far Vandy leads the Country in points covered over the spreads, 4-0 by an average of 24. Obviously exceeding expectations.
Expectations were also for USCjr to be good. They aren't. VTech was obviously supposed to be better than they are. I'm not buying the Vandy hype whatsoever.

8-4 is upper level mid. True mid is 6-6.

You make points. Vandy was picked below both teams preseason. But, It could be argued that Vandy started their slides. Obviously 10-4 @ bama will tell the tale with bama looking for revenge. If they blow Vandy out, it was all Hype. I HOPE Bama does! $$$
