I doubt Kahlil would be very effective in the screen game. Needs to be shiftier IMO.

I wouldn't want to be the guy that had to tackle him when he was running full speed at me.... You can do what you want, but I am going to get the h*ll of the way...

Speaking of screens, are DL not taught that when every single OL let's you through IT'S A TRAP! I rarely see a DL pull up and not chase the qb, but it always blows up the screen when they do.

Are DL just supposed to chase the QB and let the others make the tackle, or is it not that easy to smell a screen on the field?

They are taught that If they feel it's way to easy to beat your guy then it could be a screen or a draw. But it is also very hard to tell sometimes because a d linemans number one goal is to get the quarterback. So that's where football awareness comes into play.

You still have to pressure the QB into the throw. I'm not sure about assignments though but if you don't have someone chasing down the QB he could simply tuck it and run. I've seen many a screen pass blown up because of a DL or DE sniffed it out.

Eric Swann never played college football. Played 10 years in NFL.

It's like 1/10 where the DL stop chasing the qb and find the RB. But it squashes the screen everytime they do recognize it.

He played college, but I heard interviews from some NFL guys that said only one man could have played straight outta high school, and that man was Earl Campbell. Most underated back to play the game.

I think most people forget about him...because he never pounded his chest to draw attention to himself--and also never attempted to blow his own horn.

However, there's no doubt...He is one of the Top 5 backs to have ever played the game! :salute:

Jim Brown, Walter Payton and Barry Sanders are NO DOUBT play in any era great...a lot would argue Emmitt Smith should be in the top 3...but 4th or 5th would be locks. Then we got the names OJ Simpson,Marshall Faulk,Marcus Allen and Gayle Sayers...he NO DOUBT better than all those? Good argument with no way of proving who's right.

Khalil starting for the Army game and Khalil pulled some good match-ups as well. The East starting OL- they moved Chuma to RG instead of RT, Kaleb Kim at Center and LG is Warmack.
