'15 WI DT Kahlil McKenzie (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Ahhh yes sponsored by Under Armour, but for some reason is held at NIKE headquarters....

But most definitely sponsored by Under Armour.....lol

I think he meant the Rivals Under Armour Camp Challenge...Rivals and Under Armour are tied together there so possibly explaining Rivals' absence at The Opening...

That "irrelevant" football program has beat us for two years in a row. Let that sink in. And they firmly believe they will beat us again this year. Now, what were you saying?

Who was the one person the "liked" this post? What I was saying is Vanderbilt is an irrelevant football program. Is that clear? If not, let me rephrase. They suck, have sucked and will suck. Anyone who cares at all about anything happening with that program or what they think of UT is wasting their time.

KM needs to lose 30 pounds. He'd be a real freak at 310-320. I'm sure he has a lot of bad weight like most linemen his age.

Compared to most 340 pounders he looks solid. we need that weight to anchor the middle. keep the weight and just trim some fat.

We don't run the 3-4 anymore. We'll have two close to 300 pound guys in the middle instead of one huge fatty. That's enough to anchor the middle in a 4-3.

I said the same thing about 100 pages back and got killed for it but I think you're right...341 lbs is too much - but it only shows the potential he has. If he is this good now; imagine what a machine he will be once he is in great shape which he will be under our strength and conditioning program. There really isn't another player in high school I would trade him for.

Not sure who liked it but they did for a reason. We all have the same thoughts on vandy, don't get me wrong. But the fact remains that they have beat us two years in a row. An anomaly, sure. But I feel that until we put them back in their place with a solid thumping - they are relevant. Think back to 2011. We beat them in overtime with a pick 6. Without that pick 6, Vandy could very well be 3-0 against us. Ugg. I get where you are coming from though. :hi:

He said in an interview that he was going to trim down some. I don't have a link but I saw it somewhere.

without a block in the back or generous review they could be 1-1

Lean down is a better term. His legs are like tree trunks. Lose some fat but I see him playing at 310-320. He just a big stocky guy. Some linemen carry the weight in their torso more than others but have smaller thighs and calves. He's a huge guy. Don't take this as sounding weird but his calves are huge.

Recent article from Barton Simmons talks about how at his size he does not have any bad weight. IMO he doesn't look 341, which lets you know he is rock solid.

“He’s one of those really unique situations where it’s hard to imagine him looking much different at the college level than he looks now. He’s definitely a big, big kid, but there’s no bad weight that you can see. It all seems to be good weight,” Simmons said.

It has sucked the last three years. I don't know if we thump them this year but the way our roster is changing I am looking at bigger game than the 'dores. This walk through the wilderness will seem like a bad dream soon.

For most people that's true, but recruiting sites have even said that at his size he doesn't have any bad weight. He also looks quicker than any other smaller DTs in this class. The coaches might try and trim a little off, but he doesn't need to lose 30 pounds.

CBJ and staff will sculpt his body into exactly what they want. I have no worries about that at all. Having said that, the kid is just solid. He already squats 600 lbs and I believe he benches over 400. He's just a massive, wide bodied kid that will eat up a ton of space. From a physical and strength standpoint, he's college ready now. Mark my words, Kahlil will be a day one starter, especially if he's an EE.

Having access to nfl facilities and training knowledge via his father's job, KM is probably much closer to his potential at this point than his peers. I agree that he's got an SEC ready body today and he's still a year away. He just needs to keep training however he's been training and whatever weight he ends up at will be right. I'll wager with anyone he'll be a day one starter and freshman all American next season at UT.
